We like our quiet setting and relaxed atmosphere. We would hope that our guests would appreciate this as well. We welcome families and guests who prefer restful surroundings. Great spot for kids as we have a grandson and we have created gnome and fairy villages in the woods and even a spot for making mud pies. Smoking allowed on screened in porch or outdoors on property. A great spot for artists, writers, or poets. Yoga mats available. It really is one of those places you have to see to appreciate. Self contained cabin with access to our home.

My partner Stephen and myself are retired teachers. We were fortunate to have taught in a vocational school in Ottawa for our whole teaching career. We love the outdoors and our idyllic country home near Almonte Ontario. We have one dog and two cats. We decided to offer up our home and cabin for the year of Canada's 150th birthday. The cabin would not be good for those with mobility issues as there is a path that has quite a few steps up a rocky hill. The cabin has one queen and two twin beds. Hoping to meet some interesting people and expand our network of friends.
