we appreciate people respectful of other's property in ensuring that it is left as how it was offered.

Please vacuum carpeted area, all dishes cleaned and put away, leave used towels in bathroom basket not on bed or floor, sweep floors , empty bins, and put rubbish out etc.). Please do not use towels to clean floor or as a rag...there are rags under the bathroom vanity. Do not leave items lying around on benchtops or on the floor as cleaner does not know if they have been accidentally left behind.

Place bed sheets & pillow slips in washing basket for cleaner to take and clean.

Cleaner comes in change bedding and final tidy up & NOT to clean up mess otherwise you will be charged up to an extra A$300 for this!

Keeping the place quiet (no wild parties please), smoke-free, clean and tidy ....that's pretty much it.

No smoking or pets thanks.

Good afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen, Fred's place was located in a good central area close to the bus and train systems. It was easy to get to Melbourne's CBD from this location. Fred was prompt with his response and made sure we got into his apartment smoothly. He worked with us when we wanted to extend our stay. We had trouble extending our stay using the Air BnB app but we worked it out in the end. Fred is very blunt while communicating, almost as if you're speaking to a robot, and he was almost bothersome when it came to completing the payments we were having trouble with whilst using the app. Upon completing our stay we were awoken abruptly at 10AM to a phone call letting us know that Fred's cleaning lady was downstairs waiting for us to leave his apartment. As we rushed to get all of our stuff out including our band instruments so his cleaning lady could come in (we even helped her with her equipment up three flights of stairs) we received a call as soon as we were downstairs from Robo-Fred stating that we "Left dishes in the sink" and we were told "The bed was not fixed up properly...." I then asked, "Why is the cleaning lady there if we are supposed to wash all the dishes and fix the beds?" He then laughed and said "You must have not read the house Manual".. I said no, I didn't as it was not left within the app but within a huge binder under the TV with not only instructions but a bunch of other papers that had nothing to do with how to leave the place... We kept the apartment nice and tidy and even wiped the tables down before we left. I've never in my two years of using Air BnB had a host call me while his Cleaning Lady was there and ask me to go back and wash the Dishes and fix the beds. I felt very disrespected and confused as I had payed $77 AUD for a cleaning fee and he wanted us to go clean some cups and forks left in the sink -.- He then stated "This is not a hotel, you must return the place as it was"... The scrunched up panties shoved down the side and back of the washing machine speak volume of Fred's cleaning rules. I have also read that one guest found a used condom between a bed. Fred... maybe you should hire a better cleaner and not leave it to the guests to clean. I use Air BnB because this service has always been better and more accommodating than most hotels; but after this stay I might reconsider next time when weighing up my options between an Air BnB and a hotel.

This property is well located. South Yarra shops and restaurants, Toorak Rd, trams and rail are all within easy walking distance. It is located in a quiet street and has off-street parking. I would stay there again and recommend it for a couple + 1, or two couples.

Ignore the dodgy pathway and entry, stairs etc. It is a safe and comfy stay. The heaters are in the wardrobes and the internet is good. It isn't a glamorous apartment, however it is functional. We won't stay again as we prefer something of at least our home's standard.

We booked Fred's apartment last minute and his communication was awesome! Within booking we had all the details on how to check in, which is very thorough. The apartment is clean and simple. The location is great and on a quiet street that is super close to Chapel St, restaurants & cafes and public transport. The car park is also a bonus for this location. This apartment is great if you are going to be out and about for the day and want to come home to a cozy apartment. Thanks for having us :)
