A calm, zen-like minimalist space.
Location wise the house is a very easy walk to trendy Beech Road/Chorlton Green (1 minute) and Chorlton Village (5-10 minutes).
This large room has a king-size bed and plenty of storage, light and general space.
The house has a minimalist design scheme with clean lines, neutral plain colours, a calm uncluttered space and an aura of Zen-like tranquillity. There is plenty of light with large windows, tall ceilings, white emulsion walls, blonde wood flooring, and oak and maple wood furniture. The bedroom contains a king size bed, cotton sheets, wardobes and drawers, a bedside table with reading lamp and a good-sized window letting in plenty of light but also having wooden venetian blinds and black-out curtains to help with a great nights sleep.
There is a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet on each floor, with three bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on another. Both bathrooms have a simple matt white finish, mirrors, a window, and an extractor fan. On the ground floor there is a living room, dining room, kitchen, and cloakroom with a sink and toilet.
The house is on a quiet and peaceful road whilst being only a stones throw from the charming and bohemian Beech Road and Chorlton Green, and just a few minutes walks from Chorlton village which also has a fantastic tram system giving access to the rest of Manchester including Old Trafford (Manchester United Stadium), Didsbury village, Manchester City Centre and Manchester Airport. Guests are welcome to help themselves to tea and coffee in the morning and may bring their own food and use the fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave.
In addition to their bedroom, guests are welcome to use the living room, dining room, kitchen and downstairs cloakroom with WC and sink.
Kitchen: free use of kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer. Oven or Hob may only be used for minimum one week stays. Washing Machine & Dryer may be used for £5.00 per cycle. That is: washing machine cycle - £2.50; powder: £0.50p; dryer - £2.00. I would strong recommend using the dryer as using a clothes drying rack can take many days for the clothes to dry out - however should you want to do this, please place the drying rack in your bedroom.
Doors: when closing all doors please do it quietly – try not to slam; keep all doors closed after use, and be light footed on walking around the house.
Smoking: no smoking in house; if smoking please use ashtray on patio table outside - ask me if not there - and carefully dispose of cigarette butts in the bin. Close patio door so that smoke does not enter house.
Lighting: the lights in the hallways are sensor lights – please do not touch the switches.
Heating: in the cooler months, this is on a timer to come on in the morning and in the evening after 6pm. There are heating fans in the bedrooms – please do not cover these , leave unattended, leave window open when in use, or leave running throughout the night while sleeping.
Breakfast: help yourself to tea and coffee; fridge may be used and own food may be prepared and eaten in the kitchen and dining room.
Kitchen: wash, dry and put away dishes and keep kitchen clean. When cooking any foods that are aromatic please either open the window or use the extractor fan or both.
Fridge: do not use for storage of either large items or large quantities of items – for example with bottles or cans place the minimum amount you need inside fridge and then replace when taken.
Oven: only useable by guests with no charge with a booking for 7 or more nights; otherwise there is a charge of £2.50 per use (maximum time 1 hour)
Microwave: wipe up any spillage after use; use plastic covers over food.
Washing: the washing machine may be used £2.50 per cycle and £0.50p for the powder. You can either have the clothes dry in your room on a clothes rail (in cloakroom) or use the dryer (in cloakroom) for a charge of £2.00. Please leave payment in plastic container near the toaster.
Ironing: the ironing board and iron are located in the cloakroom. Feel free to use but only in the living room, dining room, or your bedroom. Please return to the exact location you found the items in the cloakroom (cord wrapped around iron, iron placed on top of dryer, and ironing board placed behind the boiler).
Recycling: please use recycling bins in kitchen for your plastic bottles, paper etc.
Bathroom: please do not take a bath, and keep in mind other guests with the length of your shower. Note that only one shower may be used at the same time: i.e. if someone is showering on the first floor then the shower on the second floor is not useable due to water pressure limitations. Keep top end of shower curtain closed with the two magnets holding it in place.

Hi, I grew up near Manchester in the county of Cheshire and apart from a year in America, a few months in Buckinghamshire, and two years in Liverpool I've always stayed here and have lived in several Greater Manchester locations such as the city centre, Didsbury, and now Chorlton which I really like. It has a vibrant community and there's lots of places to enjoy here.
I have two jobs. The first one is property development and I'm incredibly passionate about minimalist high quality architectural design. I also work in event management and really love the sense of adventure it offers and being able to make people happy.
I've travelled fairly widely in Europe, the USA, Australia and also parts of Africa, Latin America and Asia. And I've used Airbnb at some of those locations as well of course with my travels here in the UK! And I love it!
I love cosy nights in but also the vibrant nightlife that Manchester has to offer as well as it's international cuisine - I'm particularly partial to the "Curry Mile" in Rusholme, Manchester although my favourite cuisine there is probably the rice, bread and meat dishes that the Afghan casual restaurants offer! That said, I do try to eat less meat and more vegetables when I can - we have an awesome fruit and vegetable cooperative shop in Chorlton named The Unicorn which I'm a fan of.
I love exercise and keeping fit and can be seen at my local gym several times a week, and try to get to the cinema at least once every few weeks to keep up with the better films that are out.
I love nice cars and shopping for cool clothes but, in the end, my favourite thing is experiences and of that meeting new and interesting people so as you can imagine Airbnb - both hosting and being a guest - is a terrific thing for me!
Hopefully see you soon!!
