Welcome! Your cheerful, roomy, studio apartment has a comfy queen bed, a 3-piece bath, a living room area equipped with Netflix, a kitchenette with snacks and a dining area. You will be close to Toronto, Highway 401, the GO train and the Park, with many popular eateries nearby. You will love the quiet neighbourhood and the waterfront trails. Borrow our bikes or kayaks and enjoy a little cottage living, so close to the city. Good for singles, couples, small families and business travelers.
A front door entry and private staircase lead to your secure space on the lower level. Lots of room to spread out - about 500 square feet - the space has a comfortable queen-sized bed and sleeper sofa, easy chair, wifi, TV (Netflix & HDMI) and a kitchenette with dining table, which is also a good workspace.
The kitchenette includes a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, single element cooking surface, mini-fridge with freezer compartment and a sink. Everything you need to enjoy some rest while on your journey -- whether you're here to tour the area (the Zoo, the national park, the lake), on business, or spending time with a special someone. It's a great home base to plan and take day trips to the city and beyond.
The adjoining dining area with table accommodates up to six people and can be arranged for small working groups with snack service.
For guests staying longer than 2 days, access to bikes and kayaks may be arranged, subject to availability.
If you like dogs, there are usually two or more friendly four-legged guests in the host's residence. If dogs aren't your cup of tea -- don't worry: Your space is completely separate, kept air filtered and pet-free. Please note that you can expect to hear some normal active household sounds in your apartment during the day but quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.
Driveway parking for one car is included. There is also a secure garage to store bicycles if you are making a stop on your way along the Waterfront Trail.
Your private space is accessed through the front door and is located on the lower level down one flight of stairs divided by a landing. Once you have checked in, you will be given the front door code and keys. You will be able to come and go just as you would at a hotel.
Seasonally, and if you're staying longer than 2 nights, you may have access to kayaks, fishing rods, bicycles and, for the beach, folding chairs, a cooler and beach towels (upon request with advance notice).

We are flexible with check-in after 3:00 pm (15:00) but if you expect to arrive after 10:00 pm (22:00) or if our circumstances require it, we may ask you to "self check-in" and we will give you easy instructions to do that.

We are Nancy and Paul, semi-retired professional dog-lovers. When we're not travelling or visiting the kids, we're fixing up our home on the Rouge River. We feel so fortunate to live in this awesome location, close to the city, but far from the noise. We want to share our little bit of heaven :) We enjoy walking with the dogs by the lake, relaxing with a good book, seeing concerts, listening to music and feasting on our latest favourite Netflix series with a bowl of buttered popcorn. Our motto would be: Good things happen to good people...
