Relax into some Kyneton down time for a mini-break (or longer). Eat at some of the best restaurants and cafes Victoria has to offer and then sink into the couch, or bath, and bed. Just an hour from Melbourne and the airport. This is our holiday house too and it's not perfect (we are working on it), the wood choppers across the road can occasionally make a racket (during business hours) ! We love to eat, read, play scrabble, drink wine and laugh. Large yard with basic garden and sleeps 5.
Quaint 1950's weatherboard with timber floors set on a huge block great for kids to run around (we are still working on our green thumb). Slip beneath French linen sheets and duvets into the queen bed (master bedroom) or double bed and single fold-out sofa bed in the second.
Pour yourself a deep bath in the central bathroom with heated ceiling lamp and fluffy towels to wrap up in. The toilet is located separately so no one will be banging on the door to disturb you...
Kick back on the vintage Danish leather sofas, gas heating or ceiling fan will keep your temperature at the right level and Apple TV and Netflix will give you plenty of options if you choose to stay in for the night - you can even crank up the popcorn maker. If you decide to head out it is barely a ten minute stroll to Piper Street and the wonderful charms of Mr Casisi, Source Dining and the dilemma of 16 craft beers to choose from at the Royal George Hotel - to name just a few. Gas cooking in the kitchen and all the implements you will need to rustle up gourmet creations with the fresh picked produce from the Kyneton Farmers Market held on the second Saturday of each month. A washing machine is located in the laundry at the rear and is available to guests.
All areas other than the shed in the back yard.
We are available over the phone to help out anytime.
The woodchoppers over the road can occasionally be noisy. Mostly they are quiet out of business hours and handy if you want to buy some firewood! The toilet is not an 'outhouse' but is attached to the rear of the kitchen and is pretty chilly in winter.
Pets will be allowed upon agreement. We don't have a doggy door as yet and so they will need to be house trained and any damage will need to be reported.
