My place is close to breathtaking views, overlooking Kilaulay Bay, 15 metres from the white sandy beach and turquoise water looking over the west coast of the beautiful hebridean island of South Uist - spectacular sunsets. There are family-friendly activities such as pony trekking, bird watching, island walks, paddling in the sea, bike hire, and there are restaurants, a small supermarket and a deli close by. You’ll love my place because, the light from open skies is stunning, visit the hebrides
Dishwasher should be filled with any used dishes and put on economy cycle prior to leaving house, thank you.
No need to strip beds, but please keep the house clean and tidy.
Dogs are welcome, and the house is particularly doggy friendly, but please not on soft furnishings and not on beds for hygiene reasons, thank you.
Guests with infants please note to bring your own cot bedding as I do not provide this for hygiene and safety reasons. Travel cot provided (should you not have your own) meets British Standards but please keep close to parent's bed, again for safety reasons.
Arrival time is 2pm, departure time is 11am to allow for thorough house check between guests.
I am a host who knows the Western Isles having been born and brought up in Benbecula. I am a fluent Gaelic speaker and I love the hebrides and want my guests to experience the best of this beautiful part of Scotland. Please just ask if you have any queries about travel to and from Uist, I will be happy to advise. Also if you have any special requirements for your stay, let me know and I will be happy to help. There is a warm hebridean welcome ahead of you at my island cottage by the sea. The postcode for Kilaulay is HS8 5RE and I would ask that you check out the location as this site's map is incorrect.
