My guest room is tastefully furnished with 2 single beds that can stand together or apart depending on how you like it. The bathroom (shower) is separated from the room by a small entrance area which has its own lockable entrance from outside. For complete privacy, an internal door in the entrance area can also be locked to separate the unit from the rest of the house.
Tea and coffee making facilities and a small bar fridge are provided in the room.
The entertainment area behind the house can be used by guests with prior arrangement. It includes a BBQ, outdoor dining area and swimming pool (it can get really hot here)
Access to the room is directly from outside, not through the house so you are free to come and go as you please. Access to my entertainment area at the back of the house can be arranged depending on the circumstances. It includes a decent sized swimming pool, BBQ and outside dining area.
Interaction with my guests is entirely up to the guests themselves. I do live on the property and am here most of the day so easily accessable should guests need help or information.
Once a year usually on the first weekend of May, the famous Olive Festival is held in and around Riebeek Kasteel
In August the prestigious "Solo Studios" art festivals give art lovers a private view into the workplace of the many renowned artists that have chosen the beautiful Riebeek Valley as thier home.
Other annual events include the Soap Box Derby and the Grape Stomp at the local Riebeek Wine Cellars.
No Smoking policy in the room - outside is fine.
No eating of take-away meals in the room - I will gladly supply you with a place to sit to enjoy your meal.
Since Riebeek Kasteel is a small quiet village things are very peaceful here and that's how people are expected to behave too.
