Spacious apartment in highly desirable area of Oxford. Quick access to city centre and very close to vibrant Jericho. All amenities required to enjoy a very comfortable and relaxing time in Oxford.


- This Victorian property has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable modern accommodation to a very high standard. The property is closely situated to the city centre, university amenities and Port Meadow (with nearby canal and access to open countryside). The railway station and bus station are just 12 to 15 minutes walk away. There is also a pleasant canal side walk which is a short cut to the railway station.

- The apartment provides spacious light and airy accommodation, ideal for couples and families, in a tranquil and safe environment. There is a pretty south facing patio for sitting out and for enjoying BBQ's. The kitchen is well equipped and makes self catering very easy. There are also many good restaurants in the neighbourhood, including Raymond Blanc's 'Brasserie Blanc' only 5 minutes walk through the vibrant Jericho area which contains many shops, Pubs and Restaurants.

- High-speed broadband Wi-Fi internet access and satellite TV are also provided free of charge. A barbecue is provided for guests to use on their private garden patio along with inside and outside dining areas. There is also easy access to the garden of the main house which provides ample room for children to play or for pets.


Entire self-contained spacious apartment. Private outdoor terrace area with seating, use of the main house garden also fine if children wish to use grass areas. Use of driveway of property included when required, please notify during message.

The property was probably nice once, but isn't currently. It needs repairs and maintenance: - The undersides of most of the rails of the ensuite towel rack have rust blistering through the enamel and flaking off onto the rail below. - The right shower door (as seen from the inside) in the ensuite doesn't slide properly and has almost broken off, with only one of its four bearings present. - The wooden housing behind the toilet in the main bathroom was originally painted white, but now the lower half is badly stained brown, seemingly from liquid soaking through it from the inside. - Many other metal or metal-looking fittings in the bathrooms show appear to show signs of corrosion (in particular, blistering and dulling of the surface). - The television was damaged at some point, with a vertical line of pixels permanently shining an array of fixed bright colours. The place didn't seem as clean as I think it should have been; contact surfaces (e.g. door handles, drawer handles, light switches, cutlery) seemed a bit sticky or greasy, as did the floor and tabletops/benchtops (to a lesser extent). The air also seemed musty or damp, as there is poor ventilation of any steam from the bathrooms (especially the ensuite). The second bedroom doesn't look as per photo 7; instead of one double bed on a black metal frame with walking space around it, that bed has another single bed wedged next to it, and the two beds together run wall-to-wall (i.e there is no walking space around any of them; you have to climb on from the foot of those beds, and you can't open the cupboards that the beds are wedged against). Also, the keys weren't present on check-in as I was told they would be in the host's revised instructions, and when I tried their original instructions, I was lucky to get the keys, because the people who had them weren't expecting me and didn't actually know what the keys were for. The area it is in is nice enough, though, and the walk to the city centre is fairly pleasant if you aren't in a rush. In short, I would not recommend staying at this property until some significant work has been done to improve/restore it, unless you're happy with something of student/backpacker quality.

Superb flat, lovely part of Oxford and extremely kind and helpful hosts.

In overall, it was a good experience but for some issues in the bathroom we were moved to two different properties managed by Richard and John. We were moved for two nights to the property close to Headington and the 3rd night we had to move to St. Margarets Road, 22A. Both properties are as expected when you look at the pictures and information provided. To put it simply, what you see is what you get. This is why I consider that I don't need to comment more on the properties. Both properties are very well located and the one in St. Margarets Road is just 5 minutes off the city centre by bus. Going back to the properties, both of them were perfectly cleaned. And last but not least important,Rixhard and John made all what was possible to minimise the issues caused by the problem with the saniflo bathroom. They even helped my parents, another relative and I to move from one property to the other one. I'm not rating 5 out of 5 this stay because of this issue that we had, but if you plan to stay in one of the properties managed bt Richard and John I consider that it would be a good option. My only suggestion would be instead of trying to repair the saniflo from time to time, perhaps it would be better to install a new and more reliable system.

They are very flexible, and patient. We had soe problem fro or side,but Richard and John were really helpful.

Richard and John are an amazing host. They were helpful, kind, smiling persons. It was a great week-end in there lovely flat, luminous, clean, quiet and beautiful street. Therefore, it was not far the city centre which is really good. I recommend this flat to anyone which want to enjoy Oxford

Richard and John manage a number of properties in Oxford and they may have multiple guests at the same time so I recommend contacting them in advance to make sure there are no problems when you arrive.

amazing place to stay at... spacious, clean and close to the city center... there were tons of towels, shampoo/shower gel and even some water in the fridge... + very friendly owners: the communication was perfect and checking in was easy (even though we came in late at night) the only bad aspect is that there is only one toilet...
