Kitchen basics are provided (coffee, tea, pint of milk, sugar). The Loft has Freeview TV, DVDs, board games, books and a Bluetooth speaker. There is also a secure bike store/drying room below, for which we will give you a key. You have access to your own large lawn, with garden table and chairs provided, which also features a Gin Gan (an old wheelhouse, originally built to enclose a horse mill). We are 30 minutes from Newcastle, 25 minutes from Newcastle airport and 45 minutes from the stunning Northumberland coast. Access is via a private drive. A great retreat/hideaway.

I was brought up in Northumberland and have lived in London and New Zealand and studied in Italy. I've been fortunate to travel throughout my life and like nothing better than discovering new places. Favourites include Sri Lanka and the west coast of Ireland. We've returned to the North East of England where we have brought up our children and invested our time and energy into Linnel Hill, an old Georgian farm steading which we have transformed from being pretty run down to a tranquil blend of traditional and contemporary, nestled in a beautiful, natural garden and the surrounding countryside. I don't believe in cutting corners and have refurbished the Loft to a high standard whether it is the china or the towels and bedding. It is all about comfort, relaxing and peace and quiet. We'd love to share our special place with you.
