We stayed in this apartment on the tail-end of a two week trip in France--my husband, myself and our two children. We wanted someplace close to the Arc de Triomphe for the last day of the Tour de France, it was a reasonable price and it was advertised as being able to accommodate four guests, so I booked it.
Amine contacted me soon after and mentioned something about there being a pull-out bed and an inflatable mattress. My assumption was that there was a regular bed and a pull out bed/couch, and that the inflatable mattress was being offered as an additional option.
When we arrived, we found that the only bed options were a "pull-down" bed and an inflatable mattress, which deflated slowly throughout the nights. Not a good set-up for a family of four. Also, what was not shown in the pictures was the pretty seriously curling/peeling paint in the kitchen, the hallway and the bathroom. There was also mold in various places in the shower stall. The apartment was generally clean otherwise, and the sheets and towels were clean, but the pillows themselves were pretty old and icky. We put two pillow cases on, as extra layers.
We tried finding other accommodations, but as it was a busy weekend in July, we didn't have much luck. Amine was willing to meet with us and see about offering us a reimbursement for the stay, if we did find another place, but ultimately, he couldn't give us a guarantee since this was his girlfriend's apartment. We stayed three of the four nights we had reserved. We are still waiting to hear back from him, in spite of my recent message to him after he said he would be willing to refund our last night.
Overall, if you're looking for "budget" accommodations (though not super cheap!) in a decent area for two people and aren't much concerned with aesthetics and noise (the interior courtyard this apartment faces is very noisy), then you should be fine. For four guests, I would not recommend this apartment. I also much preferred to be on the #1 metro line, where we stayed at the start of our trip. This apartment was one line removed, and so did not make for the most direct access to most sites, but it wasn't too far off the main sights.
