This North Adams Downtown Retreat is in the hub of the smallest city in MA, tucked away in the NW corner of the serene Berkshires. Around the corner are Main Street, Mass MoCA, MCLA, Mt Greylock, a multitude of music, food, art, comedy and theatre festivals, fine restaurants and the beautiful outdoors. Dragons Peek is a self-service, SHARED HOSTELLE with reasonable prices for low-maintenance people on the go who are neat, self-sufficient and don't need to be pampered nor plugged in all the time.
The Purple Mountain Majesty Room in this roomie guest house features a twin sleigh bed and trundle on the 3rd floor with a westward view of Witt’s Ledge, Ashland Street and the Steeple City Plaza, and includes continental breakfast, one SHARED bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room and porch, all on the 2nd floor. The house can sleep 6+, so please ask about the availability of additional beds if you have a large group.
All guests SHARE one bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room and porch - all on the 2nd floor. Your private, combination-lock bedroom is on the 3rd floor. There is a PRIVATE residence on the 1st floor, so please do NOT disturb them.
Wifi can be unpredictable, parking can be tricky and all guests share ONE bathroom. Please help keep prices low by WASHing your own dishes and cleaning up after yourself as you go ... and if you lose anything or break anything, please buy it or replace it. Thanks!

Originally born and raised in Hawaii, I am a mother of twins, foodie, seamstress, interior redecorator, educator, clinical social worker and REALTOR. My husband, Tom, born in Vermont, is a 1988 alum and chemistry professor at Williams College, runner, private pilot, beer brewer and soccer/hockey dad. Our teenage twin daughters, Keiko and Amaya (yes, identical), are very active student athletes (soccer, hockey, nordic cross country skiing and track & field). We have been living in Williamstown since 1998 and love our 2 fuzzy Keeshonds, 2 Maine Coon cats, fresh eggs from our 14 free-ranging chickens, 2 roosters and visiting our family in Hawaii and Vermont as often as possible. We also love to watch movies, play board games, bake/cook, sit in front of the blazing fire and help our guests feel relaxed and comfortable.
