300 years of history is held within the walls of this exclusive, romantic retreat. Airth is a charming, historic village easily accessible due to its proximity of the M9, which allows easy access to Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow. The Kincardine Bridge is about a kilometer away,or relax in the nearby Spa.
The Captain's House oozes charm and sophistocation and drips with history. Airth was once an important trading centre and this house was built about 300 years ago and reflects this.
The accommodation is perfectly suited for a romantic getaway, with a gorgeous double bedroom, bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and sitting room with dining area. Wifi is available throughout the property.
The Captain's House is the upper floor of the building in the photos and you will have access to all of it. You will be met at the property and you will be shown around to ensure your stay is both comfortable and enjoyable.
Our reliable cleaner is just a couple of miles away and we have neighbours who are usually happy to help out too.
I live near Edinburgh but will always be on hand if there is an emergency.
The Captain's House is an historically important building set within a quiet village. Although you will have the house to yourself, you do have a downstairs neighbour so please be aware of their rights to peace and quiet.
There is a strict no smoking policy in place and any smell of smoke will be dealt with severely.
We are here to serve and to help but please be respectful.
We look forward to welcoming you.

I am a husband and father of two great boys. I still teach occasionally but have my own small boutique letting agency in Edinburgh. As a family, we love travelling (and hosting) as well as meeting people.
