A quiet, light, modern bed and breakfast within a 5 minute walk of the historic UNESCO harbour at Charlestown, home to the tall ships and film location for Poldark. Beaches, galleries, restaurants, pubs and the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre are situated around the historic harbour. A great base to explore Cornwall’s beaches, beautiful villages and harbours, with The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey and Fowey a short drive away.
Take a break out of season and enjoy watching the sunrise over the harbour, walk the cliff paths, and eat out within walking distance of your bed and breakfast. Enjoy the colour and bustle of the summer months knowing you are near enough to pop back home after a day on the beach or evening on the terrace of one of the local pubs or restaurants.
You may even be lucky enough to watch the filming in the harbour. The most recent filming has included Poldark and Taboo (Tom Hardy) in 2016. An episode of Doctor Who, The Curse of the Black Spot was filmed at night on the sailing ship Phoenix moored in the harbour in 2011. In spring 2012, the harbour was a used for the fantasy adventure movie The Adventurer, the Curse of the Midas Box, then part of Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton in 2008.
