The house runs on an evaporative cooler. Many people that come to El Paso are unfamiliar with evaporative cooling and don't know how to use it. Evaporative cooling sends continually fresh air into the house. The air is never recirculated. It uses water evaporation to cool the air. Since air only comes in you must open a window to allow air out, making room for new fresh clean air. However you must not open too many windows because you must maintain positive pressure so that no hot outside air comes in. If humidity increases the effectiveness of evaporative cooling diminishes.
