Unwind in modern comfort with views of the Wasatch mountains. Priced significantly less than a comparable hotel room. Walk up or down the street to dozens of restaurants, cafes, theaters and shops. Wireless internet. This New York style loft, called The Grand, features original 1893 exposed brick walls and has large picture windows looking down onto Historic 25th Street. Steps from Union Station, The Grand is on the National Registry of Historic Places and was fully renovated in 2008-2009.
The Grand is a second floor residence, accessible by a flight of stairs off of 25th street, the center of activities in Ogden. At 1000 square feet, it's spacious and elegant. Ogden is a bonafide historic mountain town. The Grand, just a few steps from Union Station, has been smack dab in the middle of all of it since the 1890's. The people in Ogden are kind and the natural offerings are extraordinary.
There's satellite TV, a washer and dryer and a convenience kitchen, with a hotplate, microwave, fridge, toaster oven and other amenities. Although not a complete kitchen, we've had many guests stay for several months.
Parking is on the street out front. It's safe to park overnight. Daytime parking (except Sundays) is limited to 2 hours between 9 and 6. There is long term parking just a few steps away.
This is a downtown residence, so there is some city noise in the background, the occasional siren, etc. Most people are fine with it, and we've had many repeat visitors, sometimes year after year.
There is a bar next door and downstairs. The unit doesn't share any walls directly but sometimes on a Friday or Saturday there is music you can hear coming from the bar. The bedroom is on the opposite side of the unit and you can close the door, so it's never personally bothered me.

I'm a quiet and respectful guest.
Love an adventure, particularly if it's outdoor or fun or involves good food.
In 1981, I founded Ibis Cycles, now a small but high end global producer of bicycles. I get to travel a lot for work and love staying in a place where I can get a little local knowledge.
