You have full access to all facilities including resort pool, hotel gym and BBQ area which overlooks The Esplanade.

The entrance is right next to the IGA supermarket on Aplin St. Check-in details will be sent before check in.

-EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT: Check in is from 2pm. We try to accommodate early check-in requests when possible but check-out is strictly 10am due to cleaning. We may be able to help with bag storage, just check with us a day or two before.


Myself or my co-host will personally show you to the apartment and answer any questions you may have. After that if you have any questions, you are more than welcome to text or phone and we will reply asap.

Please message only through Airbnb. (IE no texts or emails) There is free wifi at the airport and in Cairns city area.


-KITCHEN: There is a fridge, convection microwave and stovetop in the kitchen but no regular oven.

-BREAKFAST: There is no breakfast provided but there are heaps of great breakfast places just downstairs.

-PARKING: There is no on-site parking available but there is heaps of free overnight on street parking til 11:30am just outside and free 24hr all day street parking less than a block away. We haven't had a guest yet who couldn't find a park.

-ANTS/INSECTS: This is a tropical area and you might find tiny ants and insects anywhere, even in high rise apartments. Your cooperation by not leaving open food or drinks will help limit their numbers

-MAIL: The building is swipe card access only and there are no mailboxes so unfortunately it is not possible to receive mail or deliveries during your stay.

-DISCOUNTS: Requests for discounts will be politely declined. We are already much cheaper compared to booking a similar room directly through the hotel.

-EXTRA CLEANING FEE: If the room is left in an unacceptable state, an extra cleaning fee up to 100% may be applied after check out.

-Apartment should be treated with respect and left in a similar condition as per arrival. ALL rubbish is to be removed and placed in the rubbish shute beside the lift. Dishes cleaned and put away or put in the dishwasher. Kitchen left clean and tidy, ashtrays emptied. (The cleaning fee does not include removal of your rubbish.)

-No parties or gatherings. No additional guests without prior approval or other arrivals in addition to those agreed as part of the booking. Any extra undeclared persons over and above 2 guests will be charged $30 p/p per night.

-Maximum 4 guests - Exceeding this number of guests will be grounds for termination of your booking and you being required to vacate the property immediately without any refund of unused nights.

-SMOKING. No Smoking inside. Close the balcony door when smoking on the balcony.

-AIR CONDITIONING: Do not run the air-conditioner if the balcony doors are open.

-NOISE: Respect for all property and neighbours in terms of noise in particular between 10.00pm and 8.00 am. Any callout to address noise issues will be charged a $100 fee.

-COOKING: If cooking, open the balcony doors as the smoke alarms are very sensitive. Any callout fee by the fire brigade will be the responsibility of the guest. Cooking foods with strong odours such as curries and stir fry is not permitted as these leave a pungent smell.

-KEYS: Loss of the swipe key will incur a $40 replacement charge.

-DAMAGE: Let me know before departure if there has been any breakages or damage to the apartment or contents. Guests are responsible for any damage which occurs during their stay.

-POOL: No glass in the pool area. Pool closes at 9pm.

-INTERNET - No illegal downloads or any other illegal activity.

All bookings are confirmed on the basis our guests understand and agree to these terms and conditions.

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect. Scott met us when we arrived and took us straight up to the apartment. It was so nice and the views were stunning. It was in the center of everything and it was an easy walk to everywhere. The recommendations from Scott and Kris lead us to Fitzroy Island which was such an amazing day. We would recommend this place to any and everyone and we would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and comfortable apartment in a great location close to everything in Cairns. Awesome liquid nitrogen gelato a couple blocks away that Scott runs, too! The layout was great, the building secure, and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if we were back in Cairns! Bonus points for being a block away from the roosting trees where thousands of bats live - if you're there at sunset, you can watch them leave their trees and go out for the night to find food! Very cool!

Everything was exactly what we hoped for. Scott made sure everything we needed was there. The pool is great and the balcony really have us a perfect place to enjoy the evenings. The apartment is close to everything! We had a great time and would love to come back someday!

Scott was an excellent host. The unit is located in a great central location with a pool and a view of the ocean. Everything we went to was within walking distance. Scott's communication was excellent. We let him know when we left the airport and his cohost, Kris, was there right away to show us the unit and provide us with everything we needed.

Scott's unit was very comfortable and spacious, with beautiful views out across the Esplanade and the beach. Its central location makes it an easy walk to cafés, restaurants, and the marina. We had a great stay and would definitely return!
