Bright sunny room in the vibrant and multicultural neighbourhood of Parc Ex. Quiet area next to the beautiful Jarry park. Best Indian food in the city. 30 minutes to downtown, 20 minutes to trendy Mile End/Plateau. Near the famous Jean Talon market. Space is shared with one queer female and her BFF/cat, Udi.
The apartment has all the cachet of a typical old Montreal home. High ceilings, crown moulding, French doors, etc. The room receives plenty of sunlight and is well equipped to store all your belongings. The queen size bed fits up to two people comfortably. Also, this space is queer-friendly :)
Je parle Français aussi!
Feel free to use the kitchen and help yourself to tea and coffee! I also have a washer and dryer that you may use. The living room is a shared space that you may use if you'd like. I do not have cable, but I do have internet, Netflix, and an HDMI cord for the TV. I also have a small courtyard in the back where I'm planning to build a square foot garden, but for now it is just full of snow. This space is yours to use as well.
I love meeting travellers and am happy to show guests around and hang out with them at home. I work part-time at a restaurant and then the rest of the time from home as a writer, so chances are you will see a lot of me. That being said, if you prefer your privacy, I have no problem keeping to myself.
IMPORTANT : I have a very friendly cat named Udi. If you have allergies then this is not the place for you! It is also important to note that the room is closed off by sliding screen doors on one side. These doors open to my room on the other side, but will remain closed at all times during your stay. This, therefore, gives you full visual privacy, but noise does travel easily, unfortunately.
- Quiet time is after midnight, so please keep that in mind when coming home later (for both myself and my neighbours). Please wash anything you use in the kitchen. You will also have to put up with me constantly cooing over my cat.
I am a writer, actor, and comedian living in Montreal. I am also a full time lesbian and a part time waitress. Originally from BC, I moved to Quebec just over six years ago. This is when I realized my French was not as good as I thought it was. Mais, après 6 ans, il a amélioré beaucoup!
I am new to hosting and very excited to meet people from all over the world. I don't live a typical nine to five life, so it is possible I will not be doing much at all during your stay and can show you around my darling city (if it pleases you). It is also possible that I will be quite occupied with various projects. Whether I am home or out and about, you can expect a quiet stay at my apartment. I rarely have guests over and am very low key when I stay in. My neighbours are also very laid back.
I'm super easy going and obsessed with my cat, Udi, to a degree that I hope is still cute, but is probably obsessive and unhealthy. Udi and I like Netflix, vegetarian food, long walks on the beach...Wait a minute. This isn't my dating profile. Woops!
Happy travels! Looking forward to meeting you!
