My apartment is in a renovated historical warehouse dating back to the 17th century. It is nice and quiet (very thick, solid walls) and the large windows offer lots of natural light. There is a canal on one side and a little park on the other side of the building. The apartment itself is quite simple with one bedroom, one bathroom and a large kitchen/living room (plus a small storage room), but it's got everything I need! :)
Here is some information about my house. I think most things should speak for themselves, however, I would like to point out a few things, just in case:
to turn on the stove you need a match or a light, and the top left burner doesn't work
there is no oven, or bread toaster, just to avoid you go looking for one :)
please do not overload the dishwasher, tablets are under the sink.
there is no light in the fridge
the shower door does not close a 100%, a little bit of water will always leak onto the floor
extra towels in the closet in the bedroom
extra toilet paper in the storage room, left of the bathroom
This is the little room left of the bathroom. Here you can find things like, vacuum, mop etc. There are some board games there as well. Please feel free to use it all!
Just in case of a power outage or something, I’ve left the key for the electrical box for you, it’s the one with the keychain on it that says: MK. The electrical box is located just right of the front door, so just outside the apartment!
One very important thing to realise is that when you open the windows everyone on the street can hear you! Please consider this when playing music etc. and please NO parties! I think that should do it. It is very important for me that you really feel at home here, a place where you can really put your feet up. The computer, TV, Apple TV etc you can use it all! There is nothing in the apartment that is off limits. I’ve left two sets of keys for the apartment. Please leave these together with the key for the electrical box on this table, where you got them when you leave.
Everything in the apartment! :)
You can reach me 24/7 by phone, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or email (I am rarely without my phone) feel free to ask any questions about my place or the city (as I know the city inside and out as part of the work I do, I am always excited to help people find their way in Amsterdam).
I've listed pets as welcome, however, this applies exclusively to dogs as I am very allergic to cats, just in case anyone wants to bring their cat..
