With over 780, 5-star reviews, I must admit to being puzzled with this review. We want all our guests to have an amazing stay and work very hard to make our listing write-up and listing photographs totally transparent so guests who stay with us will know (and want) exactly what we are offering. We appreciate accurate feedback from our guests but in this instance feel it’s important to point out the inaccuracies of Grant’s review. The King Harmony Room that Grant & Katie stayed in does share a bath (as advertised) with one other guest room, in this case 2 ladies and not 4 ladies as Grant indicated. He might have seen 4 ladies, but the other two had rented a room with a private bathroom. We also have a half bath available for guests, so no one ever needs to wait 20 minutes to use the bathroom. There are labels on the doors and baths and a house diagram showing beds/baths and emergency exits on the wall of each guest bedroom. Had Grant and Katie arrived at the time they had specified we would have been awake to personally welcome them to our home and point out the different features and answer their questions. Because we know guests occasionally arrive in the middle of the night we do an extensive welcome letter and keep a guest guide in each room. Every issue Grant referenced (except the curtains) was addressed in our listing or in-room welcome guide. Regarding the lack of privacy curtains, much like a hotel, all our guest room have multiple window coverings including traditional pull-down privacy shades. With literally thousands of guests over the past 7 years it has been obvious to our other guests that we provide a “layered” window treatment and guests can adjust it according to their preference. The artwork was displayed in the listing photographs and at the time Grant made his reservation and we did have another room available for $10 more per night with no “Harmony” artwork and a private bath...he selected this room. In addition to being advertised on Airbnb we are also a licensed Bed & Breakfast and serve breakfast family style as most guests come to a B&B for the social interaction. We don’t have the space or staff to wait on different couples in multiple areas, although we did accommodate their late arrival to breakfast and last-minute request to dine privately at breakfast. We received one star from Grant for Value ($67 per night), and It’s worth pointing out that we served a complete sit-down breakfast for him and his wife that included Coffee/Tea, Fresh Baked Pastry, 6 types of Fresh Fruit, Eggs, Sausage, Bagels with toppings and Juice. Last year we were ranked #1 in value in the metro area on a major travel search engine. He references another guest being rude to his wife? I did not witness this interaction and it is the first I’ve heard of it. I found the group of 4 sisters educated, friendly and polite.
