This spacious 2nd floor room is brilliant and luxurious. It is equipped with a Chromecast enabled tv to stream shows from your phone or laptop, a closet for hanging items and a large dresser. There is also a lean-to desk and chair near the sunny window. This is a wonderful place to relax after a long day. The queen-sized modern platform bed is very comfortable.
The Rodriguez Homestay specializes in long-term, affordable, luxury accommodations. Most of our guests are international students, artist and medical residents who stay between 1-3 months. Guests live as roommates and tidy up after themselves. Guests have to take care of basic tasks like taking the trash to the outside bin when it is full. This allows us to keep our prices affordable. In the house, you will find a full chefs kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook and store meals.
Guests are welcome to cook anytime between mid-night and 5 am. Feel free to relax in the dining room, living room or lounge.
Contact me by phone at any time if you have questions.
The private bathroom is on the first floor (not on the same floor as the room). It will be for your use. It has a full sized tub and shower, plenty of room to store your soap, towels etc. This is an old house and this bathroom's tub shows age and wear. That said, we are sure to make sure it is well cleaned for all guests. Also, the central heating/cooling is near this room. It tends to be a little louder in this space. Of course, operating the heater/cooler is optional for you.
Our guests live as roommates by washing their own dishes immediately after use. Please keep it silent (including the TV in the room) between midnight and 5 am.

We are progressive activists and art lovers. This is is our home but we live in Washington DC most of the time. This 4 bedroom house is now the Rodriguez Guest House. We focus on providing affordable, long-term, luxury accommodations for foreign travelers, medical residents, grad students, student interns and artists on residency. The housemates live as respectful roommates, clean up after themselves in the common areas and handle basic tasks like taking out the trash. We provide "help-yourself" dish and laundry soap, towels and linens and paper products.
