So the apartment is OK and Yaniv clearly makes attempts at hospitality. Both are about as expected at this price range in comparable apartments in the center of Tel Aviv (I stayed at a few). However, location was a big downer here. This is clearly not Tel Aviv--and quite far fro…

As a foreigner, when you look for accommodation you can only expect what you gonna get based on the information you saw prior to booking. In fact, the ONLY thing you can know for sure is the location you will be at because this is a firm data that can not be changed. when I look at this review I see only complaints about location issues which is as above is known before booking to anyone and you can actually see it in front of your eyes on the map! Now because this review was written for future guests of mine I have to use this review to clarify some very important details that this all knowing foreign guest (as you can see he declared very firmly Tel Aviv's border is the route next to the train stations which is of course not true) would have known if he would only ask for any advice of mine : Ayalon highways are the most packed road path routes in Israel and Hashalom interchange next to Hashlom train station (which is less than 20 min. walk from my house) is the busiest junction in Israel & serves about 200,000 vehicles daily! This interchange has many traffic lights and since Tel Aviv don't have any city light rail or subway as for 2018 you can probably understand a car is not the best option for you in the city especially when you are so close to a junction like this . When you'll be in tel aviv you will see many electric bike & scooters and bicycles since this solution is just perfect for this well flatten summer city. Myself use an electric scooter and it takes me about 15 minutes to arrive to the beach. I use the car only when it's not rush hours (this is an important tip!). This guest wrote it will take you 45 min. by bus anywhere he just "forgot" to mention that he booked my place because of the parking for his car (he did mentioned driving though) and that he came to Israel for his job for many days meaning he needed to arrive to and from his office at the rush hours like more other one million people (literally). Now based on similar conditions if you wouldn't have subways in Times square New York,Gare du nurd in Paris,Termini in Rome or Waterloo in London , how ridiculous would it sound to you if I would tell you I was stuck with my car in the traffic next to those locations at rush hours? Most predictions say that by 2035 Tel Aviv would be one of the most crowded cities in the world similar to Hong Kong so also the borders of Tel Aviv are stretching for miles away north to south regardless to what this guest claims based on god knows what. If you are arriving to Israel to work you should defiantly chose a location right near for your office or your main point of interest! The main reason for the crazy prices in Tel Aviv's real estate is because everyone wants to avoid the traffic jams and live next to their job. If you are a tourist you spend every day somewhere else (correct me if I'm wrong) and that's why you don't feel the traffic that much – you choose your schedule and go when most people stuck in their office. This guest asked me questions before arriving and I did answer it is not close to his office but it was very convenient for him to ignore this info because I offered parking which is a rare find in big cities ,and a really low price – oh yeh he also "forgot" to mention that because he stayed for long I got from him only 65 shekels per night for a private double room which is about half of the price of a dormitory with 10 other people in the room on rotchild BLVD which is about 3 KM away from my house. Tiny detail. Another thing I want to relate here is what is the center? Any city has many different centers there is not only one. just think about the city you live in. is it the beach? Jaffa? Next to the Market? Next to the train station? There is not one answer and there for different expectations from guests and different satisfactions. Now as for the feedback for me as a host – Segah, if you think this price range even exist in Tel Aviv , or that you think that the hospitality was "as expected" while basically you paid for a night what you pay outside for a dish of noodles you can't be more wrong. I don't host for money and I got very good reviews because I put money aside – I love having people on vacation next by to inspire me they are usually very happy people and the only mistake hosting you was that you came here to work! I really don't understand how dare you to be my first guest who ever rated his overall experience not only as less than 5 but as the lower possible by stars when I offered you food, agreed to make your laundry for free even that you asked for it at 11 PM and went to sleep like I owe to do it, giving up on my parking space for you, agreed to cancel your last night with a refund at the last minute, or replied to any of your needs without having any shows of gratitude from you. because of traffic jams? I take it personally it is disgraceful for you "but back to positives" your review don't reflects even 1% of my guests so even Airbnb knows one rotten apple should not affect my rating as a 5 stars host and it is not shown on my listing and to anyone reading this I suggest to just read more of my reviews and see the general reactions and if you are not sure go to other reviews this guest left for other hosts and see it is all quite grumpy. You can ask me many questions I will assist you even if you book somewhere else. Things I've learnt from this hosting experience: 1) When a potential guest call girls he meet in a bar/prostitutes "girlfriend" and wants to have a stranger in my home & believe my intelligence wouldn't notice – do not host. 2) when a potential guest ask for a specific location daily which is not next by – suggest different accommodation . 2) Make the length of stay shorter so only real happy tourists would inquire, those who need more days would ask for it directly. 3) Change the cancellation policy to strict so people would think before they book and wouldn’t' do it only because of the price. 4) Turn off instant booking. 5) Some people are really ungrateful. 6) Be smarter and read reviews potential guests gave to other hosts before approving . 7) A happy personality is a priceless gift and I'm very grateful for having one. Thank you.
