This small seventeenth century cottage is attached to a large family farmhouse, accessed through your
own private entrance via a small conservatory. Inside, You’ll find all the comforts needed for a
relaxed stay:

Guests have private access to the cottage via the conservatory entrance. Head out through the kitchen
garden and straight onto woodland paths— ideal for morning walks, birdwatching, or simply enjoying
the tranquil countryside.

The cottage dates to the 1600s (now attached to large family farmhouse), so expect charming
quirks and features typical of an older property. The plumbing is eccentric so you wash up on
an antique wash stand in the bedroom.
The sofa bed (a small double) is available but best suited for a child or someone you’re
comfortable sharing close space with.
Woodland paths are on your doorstep — countryside mud is part of the experience so do bring
wellies and walking boots!
There is a Jøtul woodburner in the sitting room, perfect for warming up your soup or relaxing
by in the evening.

There is no outside sitting space except in the couth facing conservatory attached to the
cottage, but you’re welcome to take your coffee or picnic to the walled garden, less than two
minutes’ walk, where you can sit and eat and relax. It’s a big garden with secluded areas so
quite big enough if the other two properties are also occupied by a maximum of six other
people.
The gardens and woods are full of wild life but be warned! It can be noisy. Squirrels can
scamper on the roof and peacocks can make a great deal of noise at times.
