Our comfortable modern 2 bedroom architect designed house has stunning 180 degree waterfront views which can be enjoyed from all rooms of the house through floor to ceiling windows. A perfect base to explore the Tamar valley wine region or simply relax and soak up the tranquillity and breathtaking views.

There is modern kitchen with Tasmanian oak bench tops and European appliances. Depending on the season, organic veggies from the garden may see you cooking up a storm.
A beautiful french made wood fireplace for winter.
An Olympic sized trampoline, please note this is an old school tramp with no matts or net so obviously use with caution.
A wood fired bush bath with views.
Bathroom with shower and separate toilet.
A swing and 2 person swinging egg chair to enjoy the sunset.
A path to the riverfront with the option to walk along the river to Rostella reserve.
Huge lawns for kids to play/ride bikes.
Veggie garden and orchard.
A 1967 Bedford bus setup with a comfortable king sized bed, power, water, lights and seating can accommodate an extra 2 guests. Please note the bus is very basic, rustic accommodation not meeting the same level of luxury as the main house and has no bathroom. It is also about 30m from the house and completely out of sight of the house. If you wish to use the bus please do not expect too much, think of it more as a upgrade on camping and bring a torch in case you need to use the toilet at night. If you don't wish to use it you will not even know it's there.
There is also ample lawn, if extra guests wish to camp in their own tents this is fine.
Guests will have access to the entire property except the lock up garage. There is ample off street car parking for 3+ cars.
You will have the place entirely to yourself however we can always be contacted by phone.
Please note as it is a large property a gardener may be present at times. He will not be there before 10am so you can get a sleep in. If it is particularly important to you that you have complete privacy then you can let me know when making your booking and I will ensure the gardening is not done during your stay.
You will be sharing the property with a abundance of native wildlife: wallabies, quolls, sea eagles, kookaburras and many other native birds.
There are a number of fun but potentially risky activities available on our property including the trampoline and high swing. Use of these facilities is entirely at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for any injury resulting from their use.
While Tasmania and particularly Dilston are extremely safe and crime is virtually unheard of for the safety of our guests and for the protection of our property when it is not inhabited we have installed a camera that monitors the entrance to the property and the garage. It does not capture any of the private areas of the property where you will be hanging out (driveway and garage only) and it records on a loop that is deleted periodically.
