Our home is located on a safe and quiet street in the wonderful upper Westside area. This is a family friendly neighborhood with a grocery store and a handful of restaurants within a few blocks. It's an easy one mile walk to downtown State Street, with an abundance of restaurants and shops, and a two mile walk to Leadbetter beach, the harbor area and Funk Zone. Bob strollers and bikes available for guest use, and we're happy to provide ideas for day trips with or without kids.
Our home is just under 1000 sq ft on a large lot. We have an awesome backyard with plenty of outdoor seating, room for kids to run around, a raised garden bed with veggies and herbs (help yourself!), mature fruit trees (blood oranges, meyer lemons, mission figs). There is a deck with an outdoor dining table and kids table, and a shed where the washer/dryer is housed. Photos of the backyard will be posted soon! In the meantime, please feel free to ask questions.
Guests will have full access to the property, except for the garage where we store most of our stuff.
We will be available before and during your stay to offer recommendations and suggestions for activities, dining, day trips, etc. Emergency numbers for any issues in-stay will be available as well.
Starting in January 2017 all properties in the city of Santa Barbara will require a 30 night minimum stay, so a short term stay is only available in December 2016.
- We ask guests to be respectful of our neighbors and keep quiet hours after 10 pm. No RV's on street or driveway.
- We're only interested in hosting responsible adults and small families.
Born in Maui and raised in Santa Barbara, where I'm now raising two boys of my own. My husband is 2nd generation Santa Barbarian and we know the area really well. We're into the ocean and mountains, dining and shopping, and we're happy to share our favorite places with travelers looking for an insider experience of our beautiful coastal town.
