My delightful historic home is conveniently located in a quiet residential street within a stone's throw of Marlborough's bustling high street renowned for its variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Recently renovated and with many original features, it is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished in a traditional style.
This room is on the 2nd floor and has a small and very comfortable double bed for a single person or a couple. It has its own bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
A very special and ancient townhouse.
Use of the sitting room (anytime after 5pm and until 10 30 am) which has an open fireplace. Breakfast is served in the diniing hall which also has an open fireplace. Cosy and inviting in the winter months. Weather permitting, breakfast can be served on the terrace during the summer months.
If required, I can advise on local pubs/restaurants, things to do and see, National Trust properties and local cinemas etc.
My home is approximately 400 years old. It's charm lies in the fact that everything bout it is slightly 'wonky'. Sloping floors and some low beams have to be negotiated. The stairs are original and may be difficult for those who are not agile and steady on their feet. There is a rope handrail.
This room is on the 2nd floor.
- Arrive between 5 and 7pm and leave by 10 30am - Please treat everything inside my home with care and respect and return quietly in the evening - Accommodation is solely for named guests at time of booking
