We love getting acquainted with our guests but work hard to strike the balance between socializing and respecting their privacy. We also go out out our way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay with us and find your way around the District.
Here are two reviews from guests who have stayed in one of our rooms:
Better than anything I have experienced before, even at a hotel. The difference was the hospitality and warmth Garon and Diane had in abundance. It was in the details as it was in the overall experience. I loved the place and the people. Would recommend it to anyone who wants that extra buzz of zen in their visit to DC. Thank you for making this a very memorable experience!
There is an amazing alchemy that happens when you enter a home and feel immediately that you have entered a living space that makes you feel as if you have come home. This is how we felt here! The room itself is a dream, with a superb bed that afforded restful sleep, a bedside table with reading lamp, a comfy loveseat, a chair, a small refrigerator and coffee/tea maker, a desk area for writing or doing makeup, an armoire with ample hangers and drawers for unpacking, and good wifi. But the added bonus is a precious private patio nicely landscaped and outfitted with seating and small tables. We immensely enjoyed our morning coffee NT on the terrace, and happily shared the space with squirrels and birds. This home is located so centrally to everything we wanted to do...The Smithsonian Institute museums, the Mall and its many landmarks and memorials, and is just a subway ride away from Dupont Circle, Eastern Market, and so many other lovely DC neighborhoods. Garon and Diane provided us with maps, brochures, and loaned a lovely book to reference DC sites. They kindly made the laundry room available to us, and were readily available with restaurant recommendations and answers to various questions we had
Rule #1. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Rule #2 The bathroom is shared, please flush, put the seat down and pick up after yourself. This is really part of Rule #1, but past experience shows it needs special mention.
Rule #3 Please lock the front door any time you leave. It is an electronic lock, so just press the "Schlage" logo to lock it.
