Only a 100m walk from the river and Radloff park and within 1 km from Vergelegen, Morgenster and other lovely estates this lovely spacious family home in Somerset-West is the ideal place to relax, unwind and explore. The original old farmhouse of Eikeboom before the farm was developed.
This charming old farmhouse has ample space and a lovely laid back atmosphere. Lots of light fills the open plan living space that flows out unto the two porches. With lots of trees surrounding the property it is easy to see why the property's name is still 'Eikeboom' (meaning oak tree).
The house has four bedrooms (1 queen size, another queen size, kids room with two singles and lastly a room with one single. 1.5 bathrooms. 1 with toilet and shower and bath and a separate bathroom with only a toilet.
Somerset-West is part of the city of Cape town (about an hour drive from the city centre-same as the northern suburbs). Therefore a day out exploring may include destinations in Cape Town such as the VNA Waterfront or the aquarium or a drive to Kalkbay harbour. Other places to explore include the Somerset-West wine estates (e.g Lourensford, Vergelegen, Waterfkloof and Morgenster is just a few minutes from us-walking distance), Stellenbosch wine estates and lots of lovely restaurants (30min), or even Paarl (places like Spice route or Fairview and Butterfly world) and Franchoek (charming little town with Hugenote choclates, lovely eateries and lots of wine estates) are nice day trips from us. Beaches are close by at Strand and Gordonsbay (15min depending on traffic) and a glorious beach at Kogelbay (30min os definitely worth exploring).
Very well situated to explore the winelands, Cape Town and to enjoy the beach
