Cozy, private guest room in a shared house. We live on top of a hill overlooking the village and is surrounded by the rolling Green Mountains that make Bennington so quaint. Sit on the spacious porch and watch the light change on the surrounding hills. My place is walk-able to the town center, restaurants and dining. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Our guest room is a cozy room with a full sized bed, closet, bureau, and desk. A lovely view of the hills can be seen from the window.
If needed, a queen-size futon is also available in the living room.
The rest of the house is a shared space with kitchen, dining room, living room, and 1.5 baths. We just ask that you keep the shared spaces tidy while you're here. Feel free to use the yard and porch as well.
My husband and I live here and will likely be in the house when you arrive. Although if we're traveling, you'll have the house to yourself and we will be on-call. If you need anything, just let me know! If you need space, we will definitely honor the need for space and solemnity.
Check-in and check-out times are negotiable, but I need to know ahead of time. Usually, this isn't a problem, but if you don't run a late check-out time by me before the day of check-out, I retain the right to charge a $25 late check-out fee.
- Private room with shared living spaces. We just ask that if you use the kitchen to please clean up afterwards. We have two young and rambunctious dogs that like to play. That said, please don't book this room if you (or your children) are weary of dogs; they will jump up and give you kisses! We try to keep the fur at bay, but it is an almost impossible task.
Check out - 10 am the next morning. We can make special arrangements, but we would need to know ahead of time.
A born New Englander, I love spending time in the mountains one day, the seaside the next, and rooming small town festivals for fun. My passion is art history (specifically architecture and painting and from the nineteenth century) and I spend my free-time reading, hiking, painting, watching movies, and hanging out with my husband and two dogs. I've been to a lot places in the eastern US, but I really hope to make it to Europe someday soon.
