This detached character three bedroomed family-friendly cottage is located on the Mall, between Sandown and Lake, and offers a bright and comfortable family home with a large garden, and some sea views, close to amenities and the popular, beautiful and safe Blue Flag sandy beaches of Sandown Bay. The the property also offers guests the option of paying an additional charge for use of a brand-new luxury full-insulated 'Armadilla' pod in the garden which will sleep 2 more people in a double bed.
Apple Tree Cottage has been owned by the same family for more than 60 years and aims to provide its guests with a high standard of accommodation together with all the comforts of home, including dvds, games, books and WiFi. It also offers a perfect location for a traditional seaside holiday.
The luxury Armadilla pod has just been installed in the back garden and is offered as an optional extra to guests using the Cottage. It has underfloor heating, wifi, colourful mood lighting and sleeps another two people in a double bed. It can be made available to guests to increase occupancy from 6 to 8 guests for an additional charge. Please just inquire for details. Please also note that the pod does not have its own bathroom facilities. It does however offer a place to escape from the main house and has beautiful views through a large circular window across the valley towards Luccombe Downs and Dunnose Point.
Downstairs in the main house, you will find a lounge with two settees and an open fire. This room also has a large smart TV, dvd and video player. There is also a separate dining room with a large dining table and an armchair, a kitchen with a fridge freezer, gas oven and hob, and a utility room with washing machine, microwave and tumble drier.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms (a double, a triple and a single) with both front bedrooms (the triple and the single) having sea views and a family bathroom (with bath and shower).
The Cottage has a high chair and a travel cot for our younger guests to use (please bring your own bedding for the cot).
Outside there is a large lawned back garden with plenty of space for small children to run about. There is also a lawned front-garden and off-street parking for two cars.
Guests have use of the whole house and gardens.
The luxury armadilla pod is located in the back garden and is offered as an optional extra. It is located round 25 metres from the back door of the property. Please inquire for further details.
There are two small steps from the car park area to a path, approximately 10m in length to the front of the house (via a fairly shallow incline). There are three more steps up from the path to the front porch door of the property.

We do sometimes welcome small, well-behaved pets on request (and for a small charge of £30 per week to cover additional cleaning costs), but we ask our guests to please keep them in the dining room, kitchen and utility room areas of the cottage (there is a helpful door separating these rooms from the rest of the house), just to help us protect our carpets and soft furnishings (they are relatively new), and to avoid any extra cleaning cost charges.
There is a trampoline in the garden, but please read the instructions and warnings, use it carefully and note that its use is entirely at your own risk.
