I'm a scammer because ...read this and judge for yourselves...This person went on the airbnb site and booked a visit for May 20-23. I accepted his booking and asked that he contact me so I could get info to put his reservation in the system of my mgt company at the beach and give him house rules and arrival info. He did not reply. On Friday evening, May 19 I emailed him again asking him to contact me as his arrival was next day. I really didn't plan to be working on Friday evening but I had a guest who still wasn't properly in the system and did not have his info. When I finally got him, I got the info and sent him a rental agreement with those same dates that HE entered on the airbnb booking, May 20-23. He signed that, received his arrival info and I thought all was good. Several days later, he sends me an email telling me that his reservation is May 27-30. When I pointed out that it was not, and presented him with all the documentation (which he either created or signed) saying May 20-23, he insisted on a refund. I did everything (and then some) that a good host should do. I deserve to be paid for those nights since he booked them, signed the agreement, and I then took the unit off the market for those nights. He badgered me continually for the next few days, trying very hard to find a way to blame me for his getting the dates wrong. Truly, I do not know if he got the dates wrong, or if he found a cheaper place and decided to try to wiggle a refund from this one...I really don't know nor care. I discharged my duties as a good host should, did everything I was to do under the agreement with airbnb and with the guest. Not satisfied with my denial of his refund request, he took his lame position to a Case Manager for airbnb and was again denied a refund once the facts were presented. So he makes a reservation, signs an agreement, I provide his rental in accordance with his entry...and I'm a scammer??? Please, look at my reviews and you decide.
