Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Even though our intention is not to justify whatever you found wrong with your stay we believe there are things that need clarification.
First of all, we did make a mistake with our bed sizes, it was an honest mistake, we didn't mean to be misleading. We understand you and your husband are tall people and obviously the bed didn't suit your needs; you felt you needed compensation which we offer and you decided to refuse.
In regards the lack on information you cite on your review, you might have forgotten to read all the files and images we sent you the morning before you came to stay; all the information regarding the location, parking area, facilities and kitchen utensils such as cutlery, coffee cups, plates, AIRbnb fridge & much more was on those files, along with the map on how to get to the property and the security code to get the key.
Even though we knew you had all the information you needed we went ahead and waited until your arrival, which if we are not mistaken was around 11:30pm or maybe later. When you and your family arrived you looked tired and you had your little baby asleep on your arms, so we thought just sensible to show you to your room and leave you to rest; however, we stayed awake for another hour or two which gave you or your husband enough time to come out and seek the information you needed, or inform us about the things you thought were not working in the room.
In regards the shared bathroom we would like to clarify that the family staying in the room next door were close friends of us and weren't using your bathroom, they were using our private bathroom so you wouldn't be disturbed during your stay.
All in all, we honestly think great part of your bad experience was lack of communication from your part, and the decision you make of not saying anything until after you left didn't give us any opportunity to make, the things we could, right for you, something that we would have done promptly and with no hesitation; if you read other reviews you will notice that we are always happy to help and to give information about anything.
Let's say that unfortunately we weren't a good match wasn't a good match but we like to take the positive out of every experience and from this we learnt that open communication is key in order for us to offer our guests a good experience. So we urge everyone reading this, even if you choose another property to stay, give your host the opportunity to fix the issues bothering you, be honest, be upfront and give everyone a fair go; we are sure that 99% of the time they will be willing to hear you and able to remedy whatever is bothering you; do not leave it for last minute, do not leave it until there is no choice for redemption, everyone deserves a chance!
