The Ida Bailey Allen Suite is minutes from state parks offering boating and walking trails, the art and culture of ECSU and UConn, stunning views of rural New England, the famous Willi Brew Pub, and Storrs Center. The space was created to honor my grandmother, food authority and nationally known radio personality of the 1920's and 30's. It is welcoming, peaceful, and surrounded by woods. The cozy, "tiny house" feel with vaulted ceiling and sky light makes it unique.
My grandmother and my mother taught me about old-fashioned New England hospitality, and it is my pleasure to offer you comfortable accommodations, including continental breakfast fare with a welcome Ida Bailey Allen breakfast bread based on authentic vintage recipes. The 12 by 18 addition that you will occupy has a separate entrance for privacy and sound insulation for quiet. You will also enjoy an en suite bathroom with newly installed shower.
The guest suite is self-contained and has its own private entrance with coded lock. There is a large garden area to enjoy with Adirondack chairs for guest use when weather allows. During the warmer months blue birds and ruby-throated hummingbirds may be seen, as well as other birds. We also have two lively families of chipmunks on the property. Weekly housekeeping is available for guests who book longer stays, including clean linens.
Please text me if there is something you need. I will respond immediately unless I am with a client, in which case I will get back to you as soon as I am available.
We have an affectionate 12 lb. toy poodle, a hypo-allergenic breed of dog, who is not permitted to enter the suite uninvited. TV is available for streaming only--no cable! On site help is available 24/7 during your stay, either by text or direct contact.

I am a former teacher in a second career as a licensed massage therapist in private practice. I enjoy bringing comfort to others, whether massage clients or guests! Although I was born in Argentina, I have lived in the US all my life. My family and friends have always called me by my middle name, which is Lynn.
