FOR CAT LOVERS ONLY
Villa Hermosa is a small, quaint, Albert Frey designed community. My unit is unique as is a corner unit w/ a large wrap around private garden. Access to a lovely pool & hot tub steps away as well as laundry facilities. Totally renovated, you will enjoy the modern touches & technology with a mid century modern aesthetic. Location is paramount. Many listing say walkable but I truly am. One block off Palm Canyon Dr., old Las Palmas is truly in the best possible location.

Palm Springs is the anthesis of NY and LA in mentality. No one here is in a rush. My neighborhood has a walk score of 44 & I love not having to use my car for days @ a time.

A comfortable cozy indoor/outdoor space to relax, read, cook, bike, meditate, or just lay your head. Enjoy a martini with a twist from the lime tree in the garden, take your showers outdoors in the sunshine, or create a fabulous meal in my gourmet kitchen.

I have tried to stay true to the mid century modern aesthitic during my remodel. The entire living area as well as the front patio is custom terrazzo.
The furnishings are a mixture of custom pieces, mid century modern replicas, and a few period pieces from the Netherlands and Germany.
The sleeping area has a gorgeous wicker peacock headboard on a king sized bed with new Saatva foam mattress. Also, his and hers adjustable & dim-able reading lights and a ceiling fan. The screen door ensconced by white sheers at the end of the bed allowing both fresh air and privacy.
Surrounded with a myriad of plants, the front porch has multiple seating areas for lounging and eating as well as a gas grill and mountain views.
The back and side patio are adorned with mature cactus, fragrant jasmine, morning glory, and a large, mature bouganivillea tree. Additional comfortable seating for lounging and eating and a lovely outdoor shower.
The Kitchen sports a vintage looking SMEG refrigerator as well as a refurbished vintage 1950’s O’Keefe & Merritt stove. New counter tops, sink, and fixtures. In some past chapter of my life, I procured a Culinary Degree, so my kitchen sports all the latest gadgets and cook books you could possibly desire.
I am also a bit of a tech junkie. The unit has an awair air quality monitor, all ceiling fans have remotes, the hvac system works by remote and app, and I have 50 mps up and down high speed internet service. There is a Samsung 55” 1080i flat screen tv
(4 k is overkill right now - I work in tv believe me, I know this). I also have
an apple tv which uses airplay via wifi so you can stream and watch anything from your iPad, laptop, or phone on the TV as well as music. There is a small tv/dvd player in the kitchen so you can view the news when you are making coffee. And there are multiple USB/power outlets both inside and on the patio.
There is a brand new mini split heating and air con system with super quiet compressor. You can not hear it and still enjoy the garden. I also have two large Minka artemis ceiling fans one in the seating/dining area and one in the sleeping area. There is also a ceiling fan in the kitchen. I rarely use the aircon unless it gets into triple digits. I keep the doors open all day and there is cross ventilation from windows in the kitchen and bathroom.

My unit has a deadbolt gate lock and there are security cameras on the front and rear patios. The main door has a push button combo deadbolt lock. I have an assigned covered parking space which may or may not be empty and there is plenty of on street parking with no meters nor restrictions.

I work in broadcast tele as a freelancer so I rarely know in advance where I may be on the globe. I am a very connected person via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), email, txt, and Instagram and easily reachable wherever I may be.

The condo community is one of the few located in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood. We are surrounded by large estate homes and meandering non busy streets perfect for walking and biking. There are many bike lanes in this area.
Yet, I am one block from Palm Canyon drive which is the main thoroughfare in Palm Springs. Within blocks are several restaurants(Trio, Workshop Kitchen, Dish, Mod Cafe, Truss & Twine, Birba, & Cheekys) shopping (Trina Turk, Just Modern, and Flow) coffee shops (Earnest Coffee, Koffi). The Uptown Design District is truly a gem and I think you will love the vibe as much as I do.

Town Center: the intersection of La Plaza and Palm Canyon Drive is an easy 1 mile walk (ok not in 4 in heels) along Palm Canyon Drive. It is lined with restaurants, hotels, and shopping.

The local bus to Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and Indian Wells runs along Palm Canyon Drive as well as the local Buzz Bus. Bus stops are 2 blocks away. Vespas are available to rent at the ACE Hotel and there are a few different bicycle shops for rentals as well.

The closet grocery store is Albertsons is at the intersection of Vista Chino and Sunrise. It is an easy bike ride with wide sidewalks and a bike lane at 2 miles away.

Whole Foods is located in Palm Desert( 2 towns over) is it 13 miles away about a 20 min drive.

When you arrive at the airport you need to walk outside the airport to the corner of El Ceilo Road and the uber will pick you up there. It is $7 trip to my condo from the airport - 3.2 miles.

I am a very laid back host(must be all the yoga). I actually enjoy meeting people and listening to their stories. I am am active host of couch surfers and I often try to take the road less traveled when I am abroad, always looking to see things from a different perspective. I am above all, an optimist and believe and hope for the good in humanity. But, I am also a NYer, a realist, and world traveler(3 passports so far and 119 countries). I have unfortunately seen some ugly, sad, and disturbing things. I am pretty street smart and I have only been robbed once but it happened and it was heartbreaking to have my personal, sentimental, and family items taken.
So I open up my HOME, to you not as the person who locks away all her things. I truly want you to read my books, meditate on my yoga mats, use my spices and create a fabulous dish, and have a cocktail when you come back from hiking. That being said, I will not inventory my bourbon, my coffee beans, nor my books. If you use a bag of coffee beans then replace them. If you down a bottle of Vodka then replace it. It is really quite simple. If you see something fabulous in my place, let me know and I will do my best to recall the deets of where I found it.

I lock one closet with my clothes and leave the other closet available.
I trust my guests with my personal items and want them to read my books, and cook with my kitchen items, and in general enjoy my space.

Because I work in broadcast telly in a freelance capacity, I oftentimes do not know in advance where I will be working or traveling. I am however, a very connected person with txt, cell, instagram, and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and easy to reach.

A historic mid century modern mecca located in the Sonoran Desert, Palm Springs boasts stunning hiking trails, over 124 golf courses, hot springs, & world class tennis(Indian Wells) The weather is fabulous & for such a small community, the food scene is impressive. Couples, solo adventurers, & business travelers all welcome.

Old Las Palmas is a lovely older neighborhood with large estates on windy quiet streets. The bike lane going into town goes thru the neighbors hood and adjoins to the tennis club neighborhood. There is a neighborhood patrol for safety. Off of the main Street, Pal Canyon Drive the Uptown design district is know for mcm design and furniture stores. There are also some fabulous restaurants and coffee shops.

The Buzz Bus stop is a block from my condo and is free. There is also a public bus that goes to the next cities over - Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and Indian Wells.

I am located 1.5 miles from the airport which is a $5-7 uber ride. You need to walk outside the airport to El Cielo Road to pick up an uber as they can not pick up at the airport.

The closet grocery store is Albertsons on the corner of Sunrise & Vista Chino. It is an easy 1.5 mile bike ride all flat.

PLEASE NOTE:

This is a special rental as I am renting my condo out with my two fluffy Persians on a trial basis and see how it goes.

I am looking for book the entire stay or a close to it as possible. As I will be out of ton working.

I have used trusted house sitters for many sits and have had great results so I would like to try this out.
I am away for a 3 weeks and I am looking for a special cat lover or lovers who would like such an arrangement. My cats are very friendly and affectionate and do not require a great deal of care. That being said, I am looking for a cat person.

I am 48, single, never married with two fluffy shaded golden Persian cats. But, I swear I am not the crazy cat lady really!
I have lived all over the United States from chaotic NYC, to the farthest point south on a sailboat in Key West, FL, to the neon desert of Las Vegas, and a few places in between.

I began my minimalist lifestyle about three years ago when I moved into my 26 ft RV and lived in Portlandia for 20 months while doing additional yoga training and later in Bronxville, N.Y.
I decided to put down roots for the first time as a homeowner in Palm Springs. I have a lovely mid century modern condo with two wonderful gardens. I love my location within walking and biking distance to everything and I love the sun and warmth.
I am a freelance audio engineer and private yoga instructor. I cook, blog, and write when I am not traveling. I enjoy sailing. cooking, and studying Ayurveda. I luv meeting new people although I tend to be low key and just do my thing. No drama, no partying, and very easy to get along with.

My career in broadcast tv has allowed me to see the world and them some(119 countries so far) I have pretty much covered every sporting event imaginable from Wimbledon, F1, a few Olympics, Ryder Cup Golf, to the UFC, and even the Scrabble World Championships. I tend to refer to cities now as three letter airport codes - just easier that way.

As a certified yoga instructor I help alleviate pain, relieve stress, and help people discover how they can grow physically, spiritually, and mentally as their life becomes balanced. It is an amazing thing to be the impetus of positive change for people.
