Nestled in lush greenery high above the street, this Cape Cod-style house is classic, inviting, and close to everything. Steps from Bryant Park and the upscale grocery store PCC, in the neighborhood surrounding the University of Washington. Walk or bike to Children's Hospital, Burke-Gilman Trail, University Village, Magnuson Park, and NOAA. Connect to Downtown Seattle via the bus line at the end of the block, or the nearby UW light rail station, which also connects to SeaTac airport.
This Cape Cod-style two bedroom, one bathroom house is in the View Ridge neighborhood of Seattle. On the main floor, you enter into a sun-drenched living room with peek-a-boo views of Mt. Rainier above the trees. It's the perfect room to relax with a good book or your laptop. The dining room adjoins the living room for easy entertaining. Two cozy bedrooms, a full bath, and kitchen complete the main floor.
Downstairs, the large bonus room has a comfy sofa with a pull-out queen size bed and plenty of linens. The TV is located in this room also. A door separates the basement from the upstairs, offering privacy. A full-size washer and dryer are available for use on this lower level. The backyard is lush and park-like, with a new deck and patio, and bordered by a row of privacy hedges in lieu of a fence.
If you're traveling with children, we have a set of Ikea rainbow plastic plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and a few activities to enjoy. Please supervise them at all times when playing in the yard or around the stairs and furniture. The home is child-friendly but not child-proofed. We care about the safety of your little ones.
The neighborhood grocery store is DIRECTLY next door- the parking lot is on the other side of a row of hedges to the south. That being said, it's a small store with light traffic and is super-convenient, so if you're used to an urban environment, it won't faze you. Street parking is: 1) Free!, 2) Parallel parking, so if you're not comfortable parallel parking, or drive a very large vehicle, this is something to consider.
Guests are welcome to enjoy all indoor and outdoor spaces on the property with the exception of the garage.
Please come and go as you please and enjoy your stay at our home. If you need anything, guest services are provided by Melissa at Madeson Management LLC, a neighborhood property management company.
Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away.
The dishwasher is an older-style portable dishwasher that you need to roll and connect to the sink. Easy-to-follow instructions posted on the dishwasher itself. Please enjoy this relic from simpler times.
This property is professionally managed by Melissa Melia of Madeson Management LLC. Melissa is available 24 hours a day for guest relations and property maintenance.
