Each bedroom has a private bathroom. Downstairs kitchen. Fourth bathroom/mini-fridge on 3rd floor terrace completed in January 2017. Loma Azul neighborhood with a view to the mouth of Conception Bay and the Sea of Cortez. Roads end quiet

Situated near the end of a gravel road with almost zero traffic. Three of the bedrooms have exterior private entrances. The fourth is accessed through the kitchen. Sun patios with glass wind breaks provide views of ocean, mountains, and desert. Palapa roofed living room has a mural and only 3 walls for an open comfortable feel in the shade/hammock. Kiteboarding, snorkeling, kayaking, trails, river, lighthouse, small grocery store within 1 block. No rainy season here but it does rain on occasion.

Washing machine broke so only the clothesline available on site. The Laundromat is open in town and the neighbors nearby are also willing to wash/clean/assist for a small fee. Outdoor fish cleaning station with deep sink for cleaning dive gear. Garages are private.
The house can be rented as a one bedroom, two bedroom, or three bedroom. If fewer rooms are needed I can adjust the price accordingly.

We generally are on site the first of November and most of December which means that the upstairs studio is unavailable to rent at that time. Neighbors next door are in charge when we are away. There is a land line on site for free unlimited calling to the United States so we can respond to questions immediately. It's also for the use of guests.

We've seen Jackrabbit, foxes, lizards, whale sharks, osprey, whales, praying mantis, stick bugs, rarely rattlesnakes, scorpions, tarantulas, deer, and badgers.

This is an amazingly comfortable getaway and is highly recommended! The 3 bedrooms each had a private bathroom and shower, accessed by a keyless lock for added privacy and security. The kitchen was well-stocked with every necessary cooking utensil, pots, pans, dishes and appliances. The living room was open to the outdoors and a very comfortable place to hang out day or night. The two upstairs decks were perfect for reading, relaxing and sunbathing, which nice views all around. Mulege is a small Mexican town, with a Mexican - not touristy - flavor. The neighborhood is in the nicest part of town and the house is in walking distance to a beautiful secluded beach, the river, lighthouse and a few nearby restaurants/bars. On bicycles, you can easily ride into town for grocery-shopping, dining and shopping. We loved everything about Mulege and this house!!! Up and down the coast, the beaches were occupied mostly by retired American and Canadian RV-ers, who added another pleasant dimension to the overall experience. We spent the entire month of January 2017 here and met many nice people, explored all the beautiful beaches up and down the coast of Conception Bay, enjoyed the local "cultural scene," e.g., weekly movie night at several beach restaurants, awesome sunsets at Carlos Racing Bar along the river, perfect margaritas at El Candil Restaurant/Bar in town (both also had American sports on TV; which was esp. important for some during the playoffs), fresh hot tortillas, fresh shrimp/scallops from local fishermen, delicious produce and meat at the various grocery stores in town, local art show on the beach, live rock -n- roll music at various venues up and down the coast, and beautiful scenery and peacefulness for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Rick and Joann were there for the first 4 days of our stay and did everything they could to make us comfortable, sharing their knowledge about the town and area, and their love of Mexico. We will definitely go back and look forward to seeing them again. In fact getting to know these wonderful owners were one of the highlights of our trip!

The house was not clean when we arrived, I suppose that the host does not live in Mulege and has no one to take care of the property while he is not there, he said the neighbors could help but they didn’t know where anything was. I guess no one was at the house for a few weeks or months because it was dirty, it had dust, the sheets were not clear, in one of the rooms a pillowcase had blood spots and the bathrooms were very dirty too. The upstairs bedroom was not available at first, the host said he was not prepared and that we couldn’t use that room although the listing says 4 rooms. I asked later on if there was anything that could be done because we needed the room and he said he was gonna have the neighbors prepare the room for us, this mean just taking personal belongings away and washing the blanket but not the sheets. That room was the worst, the bathroom was disgusting, I had to buy a brush and some acid for the toilet and it still couldn’t be fully cleaned. The kitchen had all the essentials and was equipped but as I mentioned before, it was dirty, there was dust and residuals of food and who knows what in the sink and pantry and the utensils drawer. There also were cockroaches in the bathrooms, I suppose that is not a big deal given that Mulege has a lot of insects, but everything was always closed so there must be a hole somewhere where they enter. Another thing is that the electricity kept going off about 2 or 3 times a day even though we were not connecting anything else, it can be fixed easily but it’s annoying. The house is equipped and spacious, the only problem was that it was not clean, and some of the dirt was so old that it was hard to get off, in some cases we couldn’t do it, anyways, we are not supposed to get to a rented house in our vacation and have to clean. There was no other place to go if we didn’t want to spend more money, we did stay there the whole time, our stay was regular but it was just not right in my opinion to rent a house that dirty with not even the sheets cleaned.

Jessi's group attempted to get access at 4:30am without letting me know. The neighbors were available, ready and willing to do all cleaning but they didn't tell them or me of any issues until the trip was over even though I reached out several times to find out if all was OK. I didn't get any response. I didn't have the fourth bedroom ready and told him so at the first. He said they'd be fine without it. Then two days before their arrival they wanted it. I made efforts to make it available and have it cleaned but it couldn't be done so early in the morning just later in the morning. All sheets and towels had been washed except for the upstairs unit and those sheets got cleaned the day of arrival because the decision to use the room was so late. Not sure what the comment means that 'the neighbors could help but they didn't know where anything was'. They were willing to help in any way desired and were told that. Jessi's group evidently didn't pursue any help. I recommend Jessi be hosted by anyone who would like to find out after the fact in a public review that there are problems.
