Our place is on the Withlacoochee River across from a wildlife preserve. Our place offers access to the Gulf of Mexico, manatees, fishing, nature trails, & a local observation tower. You’ll love our place because it is on the water, and features a boat lift, high ceilings, temperature-control, privacy, excellent fishing, breathtaking views, a full kitchen, brand new beds, & grill. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and small groups.
This is our vacation home so it has all of the essentials: wi-fi, cable, 2-big screen televisions (one in the master bedroom), a full kitchen, laundry, and common areas. The beds are brand new Tuft & Needle mattresses, and the new Lazy Boy couch pulls out into a queen-size memory foam bed (it is the most comfortable pull-out according to our friends!). The house has an elevator that can take you up to the main floor so you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs. There is a boat ramp just down the street (at the end of 40) so if you bring your boat you can easily get it in and out of the water. Store your boat in the boat house and maximize your time on the water. Red Fish, Tarpon, Grouper, & Spanish Mackerel fishing. We often see manatees and dolphins early in the morning.
Guests will have the entire house to themselves, as well as access to the boat house. Wi-fi password is on the bottom of the router. The garage and two closets in the house have been locked and are off-limits.
More often than not, we will not be in town. Our friends (Bob and Anke) will provide you with a key and anything else you might need during your stay.
40 minute drive from Devil's Den Spring, 10 minutes to swim with the manatees in Crystal River
We love it here, and know you will too!!
- Guests will be respectful of the property and notify the owners of any damages
- Guests will leave the house reasonably clean at check out
- Guests will not litter into the river
- Guests will not feed the wildlife
- Guests will lock up the house at the end of their stay
- If the guests use the canoe they will lock it up afterwards
I am a Marine Engineer, travelling the world for work and pleasure. I love experiencing new & exciting cities/countries as much as I enjoy retreating to my quiet nature retreat in Yankeetown, Florida. After graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2011, I've grown not only in my mechanical career, but also grown a deep appreciation for nature and its wonders.
