Designed by local architect Gustavo Carbonnel, the original owner/builder built this home for his extended family. Enjoy relaxing on the extensive wrap around porch, heated pool and lush 'jungle' grounds. Rare vegetation includes a Thorn Tree (Silk Floss/Ceiba speciosa ) and Sexy Tree (Sausage Tree/Kigelia pinnata) not to mention numerous palm and mango tress.
This home sleeps 10 with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 full beds (1 sofa sleeper) and one airbed mattress. The dining room accommodates 6 plus 2 counter bar stools while the exterior porch and poolside seats an additional 12. Enjoy use of the Yamaha piano, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Djembe drums. Kitchen is fully stocked with stove top, grill (outdoor), toaster oven and microwave, yet sans oven.
Optional pool heat $25 - $30/day for temperatures 75 F up, $35/day - $45 from 65 F to 74 F, $49 from 55 F to 64 F, $65 for 45 F to 54 F.
Stays over 13 days require mid-stay cleaning to be provided, $250.
This property has 25 year old minimum age requirement, sorry not appropriate for Spring Break rentals. Thank you!

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Kindly provide us with your travel itinerary including both arrival and departure information. Check in is 4 PM, check out 10 AM.
POOL: Basic care of the pool is required as part of your stay, pool heat option if desired is between $30 and $45 per day with one day preheat depending on current temperatures. If you do not wish to provide basic pool care we can provide this service for you, $10/day.
COOL COMFORT: As we are in sunny south Florida we suggest you draw the master bedroom drapes when balcony is not in use and close doors and windows when using AC. Electric covered up to $10/day.
FINE DINING: For footsie pleasure and safety Melamine dinnerware and plastic glassware are provided for porch and ground use. Please avoid a trip to the ER for you or any future guests!
GARBAGE & RECYCLING: So wafting fragrances don’t mar your stay be sure to put your trash, recyclables and yard waste to the curb on applicable days.
SHOES: “Off With Your Shoes!” To ensure we keep the home squeaky clean for our guest’s enjoyment, shoes are optional in downstairs area of the home only.
POOL SAFETY: Utilize optional ADT exit alarm system for pool safety and swim at your own risk.
MOSQUITO MAGNET: Cottage grounds are equipped with a powerful Mosquito Magnet to insure your comfort. Although total coverage can’t be guaranteed, this is the best of the best!
BARBECUE GRILL: Propane tank is supplied with grill. Whenever possible clean after use. Note motion sensor light above grill.
RARE VEGETATION (It bites)! Well, not really, yet we ask you to be cautious around the Silk Floss (Thorn) tree adjacent to the pool as
to find yourself up ‘close and personal’ would afford much more than a prickly experience.
THE GROUNDS: This property is rare and lush old world Florida. That said, don’t be shocked to discover a fallen palm frond, leaves on chairs or in the pool. Thongs recommended when exploring 'jungle' grounds.
PLUMBING: Do not flush …. Sanitary Products, Used Diapers, Cotton Balls, Kittens & Puppies, Prosthetic Limbs, or Hopes and Dreams down the toilet! Kidding aside, if determined use was not in accordance, security deposit will be utilized to cover repair costs.
GUESTS: Your reservation is confirmed for a set number of people. No unannounced guests, NONE!
CLEANLINESS: While we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware, run a load of beach towels and put remainder of dirty towels in the laundry room. Stays longer than 13 days require additional cleaning fee which will be provided and included in your booking cost.
ELECTRICITY: To keep costs down and to care for Mother Nature we kindly ask that you keep doors and window closed when using the A/C to deter it from freezing and cause a system failure (and no A/C ). Payments of $275 are automatically made on your behalf, anything more, on you!
DAMAGES: Notify us within two to four hours of arrival to safeguard your deposit if any of the furnishings, appliances, machinery, equipment or other personal property are missing, damaged or not functioning as listed.
SMOKING: Being a family retreat, we have a no smoking policy inside the home (smoking on the grounds with use of ashtray allowed).
DRUGS: What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our place we have a strict no drug use policy. This is the law…
