All-in-all, we enjoyed our stay at Alberic's house and he was helpful and responsive as a host (and sent some good recommendations). However, there are a couple areas that could be improved.
It’s spacious. It was a good amount of space for a group of 7 (with two people in one of the kid’s rooms).
It’s a quiet, pretty, peaceful area for a getaway. The view of the bay from the rooftop is nice and the entire area is a nice retreat from the city.
Could be improved:
There didn't seem to be a system in place for Airbnb guests (no self-check-in procedure, no toilet paper, the AC and shower are complicated with no instructions, it’s quite cluttered, etc.)
The situation with the helper is… awkward. We did not know that someone else would be staying there so when we ran into a woman on the way to the restroom at 7:00 in the morning, it was… well, awkward. Throughout the morning, she continued to go about her day as we were checking email, chatting, drinking coffee, etc.
She was nice, and I recognize that Airbnbs are not the same as hotels, but it’s nice to feel like you have your own private space (especially considering the price tag for a weekend here).
