Lovely and spacious apartment with private terrace! 7 minutes from the main station and just 15 minutes from all the best shopping, cafes, bars and all the rest central Copenhagen has to offer!
We dare you to try it out! ;)
The apartment it self is spacious and wonderful if we are to say anything ourselves. We've been living here for a year and we fell in love with the place at first glance. Big bedroom, big living room and a very nice and new kitchen with a small, but decent, dining area(not that common in central Copenhagen), a small toilet with separated bath and beautiful private terrace that is easily accessed through the living room. The apartment is quite a lot bigger than most in this particular area, where most apartments are 50 square meters, ours is 66 and with a big terrace to top it off.
If you like to go for a stroll in the park, Valbyparken is situated just 5 mins walk from the apartment and offers a variety of things to do. Football fields, small gardens, playgrounds and a waterfront where kitesurfing and windsurfing are practiced regularly are just some of the things to do there. There's often a lot going on in the weekends, but even in the week days there's always something to look at.
Supermarkets are located very close by and numerous bodegas, pizzarias and kiosks are within 5 minutes walk. The station Sjælør is 200m from the apartment, has a 7/11 and the trains from the station will take you to the Central Station in 7 minutes and Nørreport in 11 minutes. From Nørreport you have access to all of Copenhagens transportation. Be it metro, S-train, buses or taxis, you'll get around the city easily from there. Oh, and Nørreport is practically the most central place in Copenhagen. There are countless things to see and do and the fine shopping street, Strøget, is a few minutes walk from there.
Last but not least, the neighborhood is part of the 'old Sydhavn'. Sydhavn is the name the area has among copenhageners. Sydhavn is/was known for being a working-class area ever since the 60's. In recent years the area has been refurbished and has become a more diverse place to live, but has kept a lot of it's charisma. The atmosphere is chilled, laidback and not rushed as central Copenhagen tend to be. Sydhavn is a more quiet part of the otherwise buzzing and fast-paced Copenhagen.
Are there really any? Well, of course there is. Nothing is 100% perfect in this world. The apartment is situated next to a trafficked road, but hey, can you really avoid that in a city like Copenhagen? I think not.
Disclaimer: Some furniture has been replaced since the pictures were taken. Most iconic is the sofa in the living room, which is now brown and more old fashioned. Our apologies if this is an inconvienience.
All guests have access to the whole apartment and the only expectation is, that if any kitchen appliances are used they are washed afterwards. We have the idea that people leave the place, as they would like to receive their own home if they rented it out.
Mainly we rent out our home while we're abroad ourselves, hence the communication part can be a bit tricky. We will of course try to be on email as often as possible, but we will probably not be able to answer phone calls during our own vacations. However we strive to be of assistance as much as we can.
All guests are expected to behave nicely and respect everyone else in the building. Smoking is prohibited inside. However the private terrace makes smoking just outside the door easy.
Parties are marked as not allowed, however we do understand if you wish to drink a few bottles of red wine and listen to music before you go out. Bring common sense and you'll be fine.
