Here on Miami Beach, or "my yummy beach" as a certain three-year-old once called it, you will have front-row seats to the grandeur of the Hood Canal where the Olympic Mountains rise majestically from the depths of the sea. Our unique cabin resort is situated right on the water's edge. Cabin #1 is the easternmost of three attached units.
A separate, signed liability waiver is required of EACH participant prior to using any watercraft. The waiver is signed digitally at the following URL:
When launching and using any watercraft, you must avoid contact with oyster beds and barnacles. This is most easily accomplished by timing your outings with higher tides.
Before returning watercraft, please hose off the saltwater with the black hose at the top of the stone stairway.
In the advent you should lose any of the watercraft, your security deposit will be retained and you will be billed the remaining balance of the replacement value.
Please help us protect our fragile septic system by:
- NOT using bleach, Drano or harsh chemicals, which all destroy the natural bacteria needed to make the septic system work.
- NOT flushing diapers, plastics, paper towels, cigarettes or personal hygiene products down the toilet.
- keeping grease, hair, and food scraps from going down the drain.
- wiping dishes and pots with the provided paper towels prior to washing.
- minimizing the amount of toilet paper that is flushed. Please use the trash can when appropriate.
The hot tub hours are as follows:
4pm-8am Open to all
8am-4pm Reserved for cabin #1 only
The hot tub can be reserved by hanging a towel on the lid retainer rod before getting ready. If you see a towel hanging there already, the occupants of another cabin are about to get in.
When opening the hot tub, you must slide the lid towards the building without folding it, and let it stand vertically inside the wooden retainer rod assembly, in order to create privacy both for yourself and for the occupants of cabin #1 (or for the sake of consistency, if you are renting cabin #1).
Make-up, body lotions and oils can clog up the hot tub after a single use. To maximize your own enjoyment, as well as that of the other guests, it is required that you shower before using the hot tub.
We have also provided a tray of water for rinsing your feet before entering.
While there is no limit to the amount of times you use the hot tub, we ask that you limit your soaks to no more than 30 minutes at a time in order to keep the water clear, and to allow other guests the opportunity as well.
Please be sure to properly reseat the lid when you vacate the tub.
(for cabin 1) Do not place any patio furniture or other items within 10 feet of the hot tub during shared hours.
Please keep food and drinks away from all bedding, and non-dining furniture.
We have provided some wash cloths and paper towels for the kitchen. Bathroom towels are for drying off and for bathing, but not for cleaning of any kind.
The laundering of linens between the rentals of all three cabins is pushing our septic system to the max, so please do your best to extend your use of the few towels that are provided.
Each reservation comes with parking space for one vehicle only. If you are in cabin #1, please park to the right (east). For cabin #2, please park in the middle. The left (west) is reserved for cabin #3.
Due to the intimate nature of the property, we do not allow visits. The only persons who have permission to be on the premises are those who are counted on your reservation.
Yummy Beach is located in a quiet and laid back neighborhood. If you run into one of our friendly neighbors, don't hesitate to say hi!
In order to preserve the quiet atmosphere for the neighbors and other Airbnb guests, we ask that you keep noise levels to a minimum, and especially after 10pm.
While you are welcome to listen to music and watch TV in your cabin, please keep your doors and windows closed while doing so, so as not to disturb other guests.
If you are watching TV after dark, please close your blinds/shades.
The three cabin units here at Yummy Beach all share the same yard space. In order to access the hot tub or the stone staircase to the beach, you may have to pass by another cabin. When doing so, we ask that you stay close to the seawall.
Please avoid lingering in front of the other cabins, with the following exceptions:
- hot tub usage during the appropriate hours (30 min max)
- a brief photo op on the stone stairway
- (for cabins 1 and 3) you may relax or swim on the stone stairway as long as you aren’t within view of any occupant/s inside of cabin #2 (I.e.- stay lower down towards the beach)
We have removed the patio lights in order to ensure dark conditions for enjoyment of the night sky and views. If you have your own light source, you may use it for navigating the patio and beach, but not for illuminating the patio.
When not using the yard space, be sure you have left it the way you found it when you first arrived. Return furniture to its proper place and do not leave any personal items out. This applies at all times of day to ensure that the outdoor area is presentable for the enjoyment of other guests.
If you have brought any large items that you would like to store outside the cabin (ex- personal watercraft, etc.), you may place it on the parking lot side of the building.
Miami Beach consists of private tidelands. Please refrain from shellfishing of any kind.
While all of the neighboring tideland owners are welcoming of beach walkers, removing anything from the beach without permission is considered to be property theft.
Check out time is 11:00am. Before you leave please:
- turn the heater down to 55 degrees and turn off any portable heaters (cold season)
- leave all the bedding for the king bed in place
- pile all remaining USED linens on the bathroom floor (including extra guest bedding and robes)
- wash any dishes you might have used (you are welcome to leave them out to dry on the dish rack)
- remove and dispose of any used coffee filters.
- leave the key on the table and lock the door behind you when you leave.
Although not required, you are welcome to deposit your trash bags in the receptacle with the BLACK lid by the road, and your recycling in the receptacle with the BLUE lid.
Thank you for your cooperation, and enjoy your stay at Yummy Beach!
