The Cottage has its own garden area, and is gated and fenced. shrubs mark and divide the garden between the main house.
Please seek permission about walking in other areas, as sometimes , there is shooting etc in the grounds.
Generally i am around and will be able to assist and help if required.
Please note that being in the country , seasonally there is the rutting season, and pheasant shooting etc. be careful when driving or walking down the drive or country lanes, as deers can do damage to the car, and stags can take offence if feeling threatened .
As guests you will be living in our home grounds , we would expect mutual courteous behaviour , we love our home and enjoy it immensely we want you too to enjoy it and to respect it as you would your own home ,please leave it clean and tidy and loved as you found it and please absolutely NO smoking inside and no candles or open flames , also please no outdoor shoes on carpeted stairs and ladies no stilettos on the wooden floors .
There is a hedge line that differentiates our home from the cottage , we would appreciate it if you did not intrude on to our garden and grounds . There is a tennis court on the grounds , which you could book in advance inclusive in price .
Please note any other amenities of the main house are restricted .
There is a pond , with many ducks , would appreciate no feeding the ducks. In winter months please be mindful of leaving doors open outside , as being in the country , there is a risk of mice looking for a warm home too !
There are two small friendly dogs , who are great little guard dogs , there are also plenty of wild deer , be mindful when driving in the dark in the drive , and the country lane , apart from that please enjoy and have lovely time . We will be on hand , for any advice and issues that occur .
Im a wife in my 50"s and mum to 3 grown up children who have flown the nest. I live in a delightful country setting with my husband, in a beautiful country house we have developed together over the years.
I enjoy going on country walks, for which our location is ideally suited. I like going out to eat in nice gourmet pubs and have a love of Thai food. I enjoy travelling, particularly to places with a warm climate and I have a weakness for shopping ...!!
When I travell the most important thing for me is the accommodation. It needs to be clean and inviting, light and with a welcoming ambience. I hope I have created that for my own visitors.
