My place is close to the city
. You’ll love my place because of the location, the inner west of Sydney is a multi-cultural area full of great restaurants, delis, and food markets.
10 minutes’ walk to the station and 15 minutes to the city. The bus stops are close by to easily get to the City, Newtown, Enmore, and direct to Coogee Beach.
The light rail (tram) is 12 minutes’ walk stopping at Fish Markets, Pyrmont, Star Casino, Darling Harbour, China Town, Paddy’s Market and Central.
You have your own private and neat double room with a Queen size bed, wardrobe, shelving, side tables with lamps, full length mirror, a heater in winter and a fan in summer. There is a shared bathroom and two toilets.
You can cook in the shared kitchen and choose to eat at the inside dining table, at the table on the elevated deck which offers a pleasant view of my garden, or at the outside table within the yard.
My daughter and I have travelled in Asia and Europe (together and separately), and we like to exchange experiences with travelling guests and we will value your recommendations. I’m very interested in people’s stores and like to help you with information or suggestions, based on your interests, as to what you should see or do so that you better enjoy your time in Sydney. I often work from home so there may be parts of the daytime that our paths may cross, however I enjoy my own company and won’t intrude on your privacy, but I am available if you need to ask me anything.
I have an Australian Cattle X dog, Ellie, who will bark when new people arrive at the property, but once she’s met you and knows your smell and voice she’s welcoming. She’s well behaved and is good company and provides security. Once she has greeted guest or visitors she generally just hangs out in my room, the lounge room or in the back yard. She enjoys a pat from guests if you are so inclined.
I also host International Language Students who attend school in the city so I'm use to assisting new arrivals to Australia.
We are a no smoking home due to allergy and this means I cannot accept smokers as the smell that lingers on smokers is disturbing and therefore I kindly ask you not to request accommodation in my home if you smoke.

Respectful of home and shared spaces left clean.
I'm a busy person juggling family, work, accommodation, hosting and find it challenging to find the time to walk my dog each day - but I do as I love walking around my neighbourhood.
I enjoy time with friends, hanging out talking and preparing meals to share.
Travelling and experiencing different cultures provides me with inspiration and admiration of the places I visit.
