"Blue Bertha" is an original 1956 Ideal vintage trailer that has been totally refurbished with new paint, hardwood floors, kitchen, tiles, new kitchenware etc. She is 60 years old so please be gentle with her. Lots of storage for your belongings. There is a fold down futon bed in the living area which is quite firm and a full size bed in the rear bedroom. If you find that the fold down sofa/futon is too hard there is a foam mattress topper in the closet. The bathroom has a full sink, real house toilet and a 1/2 size bathtub with shower head. It sits on its own private space close to the pool, Jacuzzi and laundry room. The trailer has many windows and has a very airy feeling with spectacular views of the mountains from the living room, kitchen and bedroom. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you'll see rabbits, humming birds, lizards etc. Besides the regular bedding on the bed I have put a king size blanket in the closet if you feel a little chilly but with the heater you should be fine.

Please note that there are other trailers on either side of Blue Bertha and the common space around the trailers are shared by all. This includes fire pits, loungers, outdoor dining tables, BBQ etc.
How to find the trailer once inside the park;
As you enter the rv park drive up the center row to the back of the RV park. Turn right and Blue Bertha is on your left behind a red fence.
Normally we leave a key on the counter or in a lockbox outside. Contact me before your arrival for the code.
You have the use of the vintage trailer and the space that it sits on. You also have access to the pool and Jacuzzi, and the laundry room which takes quarters.
I live in San Diego 78 miles away and try get to the vintage trailer park as much as I can because I love it so much out there. If you need me please feel free to contact me
The vintage trailer park is a very quiet quaint park. PLEASE no horsing around. Other guests of the park must not be bothered by noise, partying, loud talking or shouting. If you do bring minors please know that this RV park has mostly elderly full time renters that are accustomed to a very quite place which is the reason they rent in this RV park.
Borrego Springs is a dark sky community meaning there are no bright white lights and people use deep orange lights on homes and buildings so that the stars and moon can shine as bright as possible.
* The laundry is located at the center of the park and takes quarters.
* The pool and Jacuzzi are located at the center of the park
* The public showers and bathrooms are at the center of the park if you choose not to shower in the vintage trailer which may be a little cramped for showering.
* Blue Bertha is over 60yrs old (please be gentle) and is not ADA compliant
- This trailer is located inside a very quiet vintage trailer park. After 7pm at night guests need to be very quiet with no loud music, shouting, drinking or partying
- While driving in the vintage trailer park 5 mph is strictly enforced
- There is parking for one vehicle on the space you rent. If you have guests ask me or Tom the manager where they can park. Parking on any black road / asphalt is not allowed.
Even though I say this vintage trailer is fine for kids under 2 yrs old it has not been child proofed for a kid that young. As long as you keep an eye on them you they be fine

Hi and thanks for checking out my profile. I was born on South Africa and moved to San Diego in 1986. Me and my family own a rustic furniture import business in San Diego. I have a passion for vintage trailers, Harley motorcycles, exercising, building high powered custom electric bicycles to order and most of all me and my Fiance love traveling and taking road trips in our Sprinter van and small travel trailer. When the kids have gone off to college in a few years our plan is to travel full time between Alaska and Mexico. Recently we took a three week road trip to Cabo San Lucas and back which was amazing. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be in the hospitality business and specifically a bed and breakfast so I guess this is my start. If you decide to book with me I will go out of my way to insure you have a pleasurable time and I will be available 24/7 via phone, text and email with any questions or concerns you may have.
I have a few listings so if this one does not work out please take a look at my other ones.
Thank you for stopping by
Warren and Tammy
