We loved staying in this house. Spacious. Clean. Modern. Quiet. Comfortable.
Nice kitchen (well-stocked pantry to avoid buying those spices, etc. for one meal). Comfortable beds. Good WiFi coverage. Nice yard with trampoline (probably best in dry season). Weber grill. Garage parking. 2 (real) fireplaces.
Hosts had their personal things tucked away so you felt like the place was yours (dressers and medicine cabinets open for use). Left many Portland mags and guides for us. Great coffee mug collection from all over the world (we enjoyed "seeing where we were going today" when picking our morning mug). On that note, we could not locate a coffee maker. Fortunately, we always travel with a French press, so it wasn't an issue.
As for location, we easily drove to the City in about 15 minutes at various times of day. Very easy access to urban without having to live in the noise of downtown. Easy to 217 for Washington Square Mall and I-5 access.
The house was exactly what we were hoping for and the hosts made it even better. If you don't need to stay in the City, this is a great option if available.
