- RENTAL RULES 1. Smoking is NOT allowed Inside The Home. Smoking is allowed outside only. Please use ashtrays. Do not throw cigarettes in yard or fire pit. 2. Guests agree to vacate the premises on the end date of the rental agreement. A new agreement must be agreed, approved and signed by Home Owner and Guest if additional time is desired. NO Exceptions. If Guest does not vacate the premises on time Home Owner reserves the right to evict Guest by any means available to Home Owner. 3. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to above with out prior written approval of owner. 4. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors; Code-enforced neighborhood quiet hours are from 11:00p.m. – 9:00a.m. 5. This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Keep the property and all furnishings and contents in as found working and good order. Any broken or stolen items remediation will be sought. Only use appliances for their intended uses. DO NOT put metal or metal trimmed items in microwave. Dryer: Clean Dryer Lint Trap after each use. Washing Machine: Do Not overload washing machine. Dishwasher: Starter Dishwasher detergent is provided upon check-in. Guest responsible for additional detergent once starter supply is used up. Gas Range: Please check to be sure gas range is turned off completely once you have finished using it.
Trash Pick up: Monday morning.
Candles: Please be sure to extinguish all burning candles and don’t allow wax to melt onto surfaces.
Hardwood Floors and painted surfaces: Please pick up chairs. Do Not Drag on floors. Please :)
Furniture: PLEASE USE A COASTER. Wet glasses, dishes, towels, cloths leave rings and water marks on furniture. We have plenty of coasters in the home so please use them and make Hither & Yon Estate Guest Agreement sure your guests do too. There are NO water stains on any of our pieces so please be careful. We thank you in advance for your consideration. Wine Cooler: Please check to be sure wine cooler door is properly closed so wine will stay cool.
Freezer: In Door Ice Maker and lower shelf Ice Maker in main kitchen. Please do not over load the freezer’s top shelf as this will cause the Ice Maker to stop producing Ice. Never a good thing in the summer :). There is an extra cooler on the back screen porch for storing additional beverages. NO PETS. Sorry we love, love, love animals but we just can’t deal with the expense associated with damage caused by unattended furry friends. Parking: PARKING – Parking is limited to SIX vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. (if the property is rented for an event parking arrangements will be discussed and agreed to in writing prior to event. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the home, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We provide bath and pool towels. No food is allowed in the bedrooms.
Paper Goods: Starter Package of the following items provided at check-in: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Trash Bags, Paper Napkins, Paper Plates. *Guest responsible for additional items once the starter pack is used.
Wet Towels: Please hang towels. Don’t leave them on the hardwood floors as this will cause damage to the floors.
Garbage: Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage or recycling receptacle, located at the side of the house. Garbage pick up is early MONDAY Morning.
Gas Grill: Please be sure to turn off the gas supply to the grill when you have finished using it.
Children are not permitted in hot tub, swimming pool or Jacuzzi or bath tubs [without adult supervision]. When using the Jacuzzi remember there is a certain health risk associated with water, swimming pools and bath tubs. Use at your own risk. Home Owner assumes NO Responsibility for any injuries to Guests.
Swimming Pool: The liner in the pool is vinyl and it is Guests responsibility to be sure the liner is not damaged. NO Sharp objects are allowed in the pool. Replacement Value will be charged to Guest if the swimming pool liner is damaged. If anyone breaks a glass in pool area PLEASE clean it up Immediately. Wash pool deck down if spills occur. This will help to avoid injuries to Guests. Water feature: Do NOT sit or stand or jump off of the water feature/planter box located at the end of the pool. This is not a diving platform and will break if weight is placed on the ledge. Please turn off the water feature once you go in for the night. The on/of switch is located on the side of the outdoor shower.
Fire Pit: Please be sure to turn the gas fire pit off once you have finished using it. Keep the brass fitting with the fire pit. DO NOT throw trash in the fire pit. Fireplace: The fireplace/s is/are non-vented propane gas log fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace.
Water and Septic: The property is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the plumbing.
Fans: Electric fans are available (2). Ceiling fans: (2) Ceiling Fans in the Living room, (2) Ceiling Fans on the back screen porch, (3) Ceiling Fans around the swimming pool porch area.
Storms: If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless: The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund: Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered; Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, Hither & Yon Estate Guest Agreement to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; or Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period. Home Owner is NOT responsible for locating or assisting guest with a replacement rental should a storm / evacuation order / or storm damage occur.
