1712 Old Town Road boasts high ceilings, thick adobe walls, great light, and a fabulous location blocks from the plaza, museums, and great restaurants. Over one hundred years old, 1712's decorated with a mixture of antiques and modern. Go out and explore--or stay home and soak up the atmosphere--it's all good.
1712 Old Town is a home and you can feel it. It's real. Older adobes tend to sport low ceilings. Although I'm short, my spirit is tall; luckily my ceilings are taller (12' in the living room). 1712 is one of two houses in Old Town with natural mud plaster outside (not stucco). I remember reading in a letter from Georgia O'Keefe to Maria Chabon how sad she was to finally get the old mud stuccoed over in her Abiquiu house. Less upkeep and she was getting old, sicka upkeep. Point is, not here. A rafter in the back bedroom is signed in beautiful, old-fashioned cursive (one of the builders?), upside down. This place is not for just anyone. Or everyone. It might not be your cuppa tea. but if it is, then you're really gonna dig it.
Everywhere but the attic.
