With Galloway Forest Park on your very doorstep, you won't struggle to find activities and pursuits for even the most adventurous outdoorsmen. Head to an outdoor activity centre just 6.5 miles away and partake in a host of activities, including windsurfing, archery, kayaking and mountain biking. If you prefer to enjoy the area on foot, summit Mochrum Fell, Cairnsmore or Fell of Fleet, all accessible within 20 miles of your home.

Those who prefer to while away a day fishing, the local Loch Ken (6.5 miles) is teeming with pike, roach, perch and bream. Look out for local wildlife on your travels, including otters, red kite and red deer. This spacious property is all set out on one level, accessible via an outdoor ramp leading to the front door. Once inside you'll head straight through to the contemporary kitchen and dining room, a sociable space to enjoy a lazy breakfast or romantic evening meal. This room boasts electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and a washing machine, as well as lovely views out to the rear landscape. Next door, a spacious living room is a lovely space to relax, and French doors open out onto the garden, letting fresh air breeze through. Here you can enjoy some TV, or turn out the double sofa bed and get to sleep. The bedroom is a bright and airy double with a comfy bed, and in a separate room, you'll find a bathroom with WC and shower. Travel through the property via original farmhouse doors and past oak beams, for a truly authentic countryside experience.

Enjoy a wonderfully peaceful surrounding area, outside you'll find a spacious garden set to lawn with four steps leading up and a gravel driveway to park a car. There's an outdoor picnic bench here, so you can soak in the last of the summer sun and enjoy a glass of wine.
