Charming 2 story cottage on a large farm. Large yard and creek in front down a dirt road. Minutes from the heritage trail. Modern decor. Large bedroom upstairs and living down.
Quite enjoyment of the natural surroundings.
Dog(s) และ other pet(s) live in the house
Julia was an absolutely amazing host! A few days before we were to arrive, she provided very detailed directions for how to get there, which was great since the small town roads can be a little confusing sometimes. When we arrived, blessedly, the air conditioners were already on, which was a very welcome reprieve from the +95 degree temps with soaring humidity outside. Julia had a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge and two glasses set out for us when we arrived; what a great way to kick off the weekend! The space was lovely and so very cozy; my husband and I wished we were staying for a whole week instead of just one night. The property was so beautiful, tucked right into the woods with a stream running through the yard--just about as idyllic as you can get. We even saw a beaver munching on some grass right outside our window! There were binoculars on the windowsill upstairs so we could observe our wildlife friend up close but safely inside, what a great touch! And the wandering goats were a hit with my husband, you could walk right up to them and say hello while they munched on grass and plants in the drive, so cute! This place was a perfect escape from the city into easy, quiet, comfortable county-living. We will most definitely be back, we loved this place from top to bottom!
We had a great time. The house was clean and Julia left us wine and coffee to help us enjoy the holiday weekend. I agree with other posts in that the house was more lived in than I'm used to, but that did not take away from the experience at all. Great access to biking and walking trails!
