The space is located in the central part of Charlotte with easy access to Public Transit and SouthEnd Attractions. For those Traveling Professionals, my place is close to Downtown and all major Hospitals. My place is also great for couples & solo adventurers.
Welcome! Relax in the comfort of this friendly neighborhood home after a day of sightseeing, visiting locals, attending events or working hard.
For those who will be flying into town, my place is about a 20 minute drive from the Airport with light traffic.
My place has been recently updated with stainless steel appliances and other fixtures. The full kitchen is equipped with any utensils you need for creating a gourmet meal or just warming up left-overs.
Some basic amenities will be provided such as linens, towels, cleaning supplies and equipment & paper products.
Both Bedrooms are spacious and have ample closet/storage space. The second Bedroom has a large worksurface and comfy desk chair.
If you want to stay in for a quiet night, feel free to borrow any of the books you find or just enjoy the use of the HDTV and DVD player. While, there is Internet and Wifi available, there is no cable TV. A Digital antenna is used to receive basic channels. Long-Term guests may consider contacting Spectrum Cable for any additional service at their own expense. The smart HDTV can be used to access services such as Netflix, Amazon Instant and other apps with Guest's own account.
On nice days/evenings, relax in the private garden setting in the backyard. Here you'll find a firepit. Please use with proper caution.
If you are up for an adventure, my place is 1/2 mile from Scaleybark Station of the LYNX Blue Line. You'll have easy access to Uptown and all the way through to Pineville. Closer to home is Historic SouthEnd Charlotte: A popular area for Arts, Entertainment, local Restaurants and Shopping. It is a vibrant social scene!
Charlotte is home to an active bicycling community. There is a dedicated bicycle lane on the main street outside the neighborhood. Neighborhood residents frequently bike the 2 miles to the closest major park (Freedom Park) and the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. The Greenway leads right up to the heart of Downtown with beautiful views of the City and fun stops along the way.
Guests will have access to all of the home with some exceptions. Access includes 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom with shower and tub, full eat-in Kitchen, Living Room & Outdoor spaces. The Master Suite and Outdoor Shed will both remain locked when I am not home. I anticipate being away most of the time as I travel for months at a time for work.
I do not plan to be onsite during any guest's stay; however I am easily accessible by phone, text or email.
Garbage and Recycle bins are located outside the fenced yard at the end of the driveway. Weekly garbage collection occurs each Wednesday. Recycled collection occurs every other week (if you are not sure just watch what the neighbors do). Please be sure to wheel the bins to the street by Tuesday evening.
The lawn service comes every other week during the season.
The fireplace is not operational and is not to be used at any time.
Please be sure to lock all doors and close all windows when leaving the house. There is a digital thermostat in the Hallway. When checking out, please set it to 58 degrees in the cool months and 80 degrees in the warm months. The instructions for the thermostat with be available.
At check out, please strip the sheets from any bed that was used. I ask that you do me a favor and begin one load of sheets so that the cleaning service has enough time to wash all the linens before the next guests arrive.
$100 Cleaning fee includes general clean up, linen washing. Guests are responsible for cleaning out the fridge.
This property is a private residence and you agree to indemnify the owner for any damage or loss to the property or its contents that occur during your stay. Furthermore, you agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the community and refrain from any activity, which interferes with the quiet enjoyment of its residents. Disturbances and Violation of Laws: Tenant, guests and invitees of either tenant or guests shall not use the premises for any unlawful purpose and shall comply fully with all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances. Nor shall Tenant, guests and invitees of either tenant or guests use the premises in a manner offensive to others or create a nuisance by annoying, disturbing, inconveniencing or interfering with the quiet enjoyment of any other tenant or nearby resident (e.g. shouting, loud music). If the Tenant or Landlord receives a notice from the local police department there will be a $100 penalty fee per Tenant. No parties. Calm and intimate family gatherings are allowed.
The undersigned, for himself/herself, his/her guests, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all claims, demands and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.
***No pets or smoking in the house. Remember that you are renting a private home. Please treat it with the same respect you would your own***
