Yucca Flats is the name Carolyn Curtis and I dubbed our compound. Two artists and one crazy dog named Pabst in a bustling Albuquerque neighborhood. We’ve opened up our cute 1958 triplex to nightly guests the last year and have truly enjoyed it. We hope you have a great stay here. Let us know if you need anything.
The Gallery at Yucca Flats offers a small space for some amazing local and national artists. We love have visiting artists stay with us for their shows. Check with us for open hours.
We always have many projects happening on the property. Both us have messy, yet working artist studios, garden growing a wide variety of vegetables, plus many native plants to help xeriscape the compound.
One of the most enjoyable collaborations we have is our Tank-O-Lanterns. We started upcycling old refrigerant tanks a few years ago and they have only gotten better. Carolyn comes up with the designs and I plasma cut them out. Invented as never rotting jack-o-lantern. The shadows they cast are amazing.
